  • where would i be able to get this album (besides a underground record store)

  • waters is such a fuckin' g! look at him chillin' in the back with his shades... these guys probably smashed every night lol i would've put out if i was a london girl haha

  • Sounds like Hendrix. Awesome! Is there anything the Floyd can't do?

  • @GunsBates well they can release any thing new without charging a million bucks for a re issue with a bonus track that everybody alredy has.

  • smmmmmmmokin' !!!

  • To broken chair 88 . Dogs (words and music by Roger Waters and David Gilmour) No Rick or Nick. Only performed by Pink Floyd

  • sounds a little like The Allman Brothers Band

  • The Blues bootleg is fucking nice! You download it by the name of Smoking Blues.

  • este disco es uno de los primeros de pink floyd conde estaba syd barret lo malo es que casi nadie lo conoce

  • preaty wonderful movie, worthy for the watch! Seen the everything Movie found at

    watch last movies. com

  • thats the great thing about youtube , I had never heard this amazing stuff before in my life before now....sweet

  • This jam has been doing the rounds on the bootleg cicuit for years and there is no doubt at all that it is Pink Floyd

  • Sorry frebose, but there is no question about the authenticity of this piece. It is Pink Floyd: Gilmour, Wright, Waters and Mason.

Please put: Pink Floyd Biding My Time into the search and find the live version of it from Copenhagen 1969. This is NOT a live version of Biding My Time (nobody said it was) it's a blues jam where they are clearly doing a jam around the same riff.

You will note that there is no organ on Biding as Rick Wright is playing the trombone throughout!

    Thanks!

    NH

  • Actually, Rick joins in on the Hammond Organ around the last minute of "Biding My Time".

  • This was recorded by Pink Floyd in 1969 durring the "Zabriskie Point" studio sessions.

  • To ukkfayooyay:

Perhaps you've spent a little too long collecting old Floyd stuff and not enough time listening to it!!

  • Busted him lol

  • There is some truth in your supposition.

  • I keep coming back to this genuine piece of Floyd and I love it!

Gilmour, Waters, Wright and Mason just letting go!

    Wonderful! True Floyd!

    Thanks for posting, Back2Tfuture!

  • As a PF fan and collector of their rare recordings since 1973, I can't say I'm convinced this tune is by them. It has none of their signature sounds, nor does it sound like the 12 bar blues from John Peel's 1971 BBC show with Pink Floyd. I will keep an open mind about it, but I'm skeptical.

  • Amazing Gilmour's guitar work!

  • Great post: thanks Back2TFuture. I've never heard this one before. A few points for those who dispute who is playing what here. It is so clearly Gilmour's style from around that time. As has been pointed out, it sounds a bit like Biding My Time which has a very similar sound with the wah wah on it. Wright is using a Hammond here. Before 1970 he only used the Farfisa. Also the Hammond tone and playing style is very similar to the Funky Dung part of Atom Heart Mother. Clearly 1970 Pink Floyd

  • lol I was trying to thumb up your comment but hit down instead and it won't let me fix it like it used to. fux used tube

  • Oh well, it doesn't seem to have registered! I don't know what the previous poster is on about. There is no need for him to be sceptical. This is PF. FACT. It has ALL their trademarks. The bassline Waters is playing is identical to that of Biding My Time, so is the first phrase of the guitar solo plus the Strat/ Fuzz-Face/ Vox wah combination which Gilmour always used then. Wright is using his favoured first 4 drawbars plus percussion on the Hammond, it's as Pink Floyd as it gets.

  • I see a great visual here--a smoky bar full of happy people swaying back and fourth to the riff just like Syd preferred. He always moved people . . .

    sharing the light,

    miss erica hidvegi

  • this bootleg has the best live version of fat old sun and 2 amazing blues jams its a good boot

  • i know this is on smoking blues but it doesn't sound like PF. I think it's a fake.

  • 11-21-70 homo

  • I find it suspicious that its said that its Gilmour on the guitar, when the Smoking Blues bootleg's album sleeve bares an image of early Pink Floyd, prior to Gilmour.

  • The song comes from 1970's tour. Gilmour played. Definiately.

  • That is irrelivant. There are rare existing Syd Barrett istrumentals from 74' on Have You Got It Yet? & the bootleg, You Got It Now. It is possible that its Syd. If Gilmour is as butthurt & envious of Syd as I suspect, he might claim he did it, since there is no hard evidence that its early Pink Floyd. Please refrain from asking about where I get the ideas for my theories, I don't feel like explaining.

  • No. I don't think so.

  • Your whole paragraph is filled with in correct statements. ignorance=homo=you

  • LOL, You call that an insult? Seriously, how old are you, like 14?

  • Do a little research before you say that isn't pink floyd from 1970. click on my name and see my pink floyd collection. homo=dragonmynutsonyourchin

  • ROTFL!! No, you're not 14, you're 14...........& retarded. Run along, fanboy, & go jack off to Money or some other boring, repeatitive, overhyped, shit. Waters/Gilmour Floyd is great, but they aren't worthy of licking the shit off of Syd Floyd's & The Who's boots.

  • No your not 14 your 14 ??? LMAO. I have every single show Floyd ever played (that was recorded) Apperently you have no clue what you are talking about. just because their is a picture of Syd.... LOL "74 have you got it !!!??? Ignorance=dragonhomo

  • I said, you're not 14, you're 14......& retarded. Apparently you're also illiterate. The reference to '74 was about hte recording sessions Syd was doing at that time, you fuckwit, not Pink Floyd after him. BTW, all the derogatory remarks implying Im gay just proves your immaturity all the more.

  • It's just sad to me .... that you would take away from David Gilmour. To me that is the most immature statement one could make. Honestly could you imagine floyd with syd into the 70's? No way it is as induring, good nonetheless but not amazing as what gilmour brought. Just the same when roger left, can you imaging the next floyd album w/roger? Each left at the right time. MLOR and DB are amazing in their own right.

  • I refuse to waste my precious time on this senseless arguing. If you reply to this, don't expect me a reaction out of me.

  • just when the subject was getting half way inteligent..... Those words were not cross. Just so you know I was trying to open up a real dialog. Your gay.

  • Well without sid, Floyd had to find themselves..At first they tried to keep the same sound,or write like him with "point me at the sky"and it didnt work, but set the controls was better for them even though sid played on some of it i think..Deep space was good for them up until darkside..Gillmore said the success was great, but we lost a little bit also..

  • from '74? Your a ball bag.

  • that tour was their best tour ever: Atom Heart Mother, Cymbaline, Embryo, Careful With That Axe Eugine, Astronomy Domine

  • Sorry for my ignorance but is this Gilmour on guitar?

  • Yes if your being honest. If your being sarcastic then you got me.

  • yeah was wondering if it was syd because of the picture...

  • "Smokin' Blues". I have this bootleg. Is's great!

  • It's fun!

  • This sounds kinda' like "Binding My Time". It also makes me hungry for some miso soup for some reason.

  • that'd be "biding my time"

  • @BrokenChair88

I see that having gained only contempt with your ridiculous "PF wrote Dogs" comment that you've spent god knows how long thumbing up your own comments with your numerous psuedonyms. You are sad

  • Pink Floyd wrote "Dogs".

  • How did you know O_O

  • I sensed it.

  • he is a fuckin spamer

  • @BrokenChair88, WHO CARES that pink floyd wrote dogs. They wrote 100s of songs. Go play pokemon.

  • @thetrumpetstar "Pokemon"?
