It's Rossini's music, but Rossini never composed this duett.. In fact it's the parody of Rossini's music, withmusical themes from Rossini's Otello (acts 1&2).
@urmuzik According to your elegant words and expression, you couldn´t imagine how well I know Rossini´s music. You don´t deserve my explanation, but I´m giving it to the readers. This is not composed by Rossini, but it´s is based on Otello´s cavatine and on a danish song by Weyse. The man who compiled the music signed as Berthold. The problem here is that ignorant people like you make Rossini to appear like thieve since this music belongs, in part, to other composers. Read a lot. Learn to read.
I guess it is a matter of personal taste. This is the only performance I've heard that actually sounds cat-like to me instead of sounding like two people saying "meow".
I really love this melody in piano:-)
meow meoww..without too many lyrics lol. it would be a great song for voice training, and the duet part is close to perfection!
ps..besides this I think their cat masks a bit scary really..dunno why, just give me this feeling:)

This is an affront to both music and cats.

Pausanius and Phaedrus would have liked this one. And it is very charming.
But it's not to my taste. I like girls.
And not too young.

I think it just you...maybe it can be between the two cats, but thats just how Rossini wrote it. Nothing else.

Is it me or is there just too much sexual tension between these three characters??

You have a good eye.
This was filmed by a..... pederast. No doubt.
But let's not be too judgmental. Nowadays, anything is permitted I am told.
