The new color video is actually a kiddy version of The Whip (not full size). I have one of the original Coney Island (Ohio) Whip cars in my collection if anyone needs measurements or pictures. My kiddy whip car was at Euclid Beach before it came to Coney Island, then near Cinn. Ohio.

Was that the Kiddie Whip or was it the full size Whip? It also seems like slowed down so the cars weren't able to fully whip around the corners like the one at Kennywood Park does.
What a cheap ass ride that works good. In the day and age where bigger and faster is king, something like the whip doesn't get pushed to "make room". Nice video.

blackpool has lost the turtle ride(1935) and now the adult whip is rotting away. total shame as its these classic rides the pleasure beach should be retaining. the kids whip has been repaired im glad to say! i hate society today. give me a one way time machine anyday!

I have been on this ride at Blackpool Pleasure Beach in the uk, it was different compared to the new modern rides especially when combined with old fashoned music.

The one at heritage park might be the longest though, witha ride timer running 3 minutes. =P
(It's a fun ride to work at, kind of. xD Very very easy. =3)

That whip shown is from knoebels in PA. One of the best amusement parks around!
