I remember attending a MONO concert and a guy told me this was his least favorite MONO album. I told him this: the reason You Are There is their best album (for me, anyway) is because of its surprise concept: one day, from the dawn to midnight, in one whole hour. The titles, the album art, the album's duration and the mood of the music are all clues to a concept that seems less approachable than the music implies. Remember this for the next time that someone seems unsure about You Are There.

I can respect Usher and even Gaga, although her theatrics are over the top, she's a fantastic performer. Perry, I don't like at all and don't think deserves to be in the spotlight. It's a shame that bands like this aren't more well known, but I always see that as a good thing. It makes the music feel even more personal.
