Gotta love it! I'm a pro variety tribute performer. Morrison is one of my "Dead Legends" TM favorites. While performing in Pasadena Convention Center as 'John Lennon," on his memorial day of 12/8/02 for the "Liverpool Days" Beatles fest, in my "Abbey Road" look, taking the elevator from my hotel next to the conven center, I walked in and none other than ex-Beatle Pete Best was there...he never even spoke! Just stood there staring! Anyhow, with rental car just driving randomly found The Whisky!
I'm 65 now, and I saw The Doors there in 1965. I even worked as a parking valet there for awhile, so got to go in often and mingle. What a time in my life! I didn't do drugs, but can't say the same for the booze. I remember it all like it was yesterday! :)
this is a rockin location and a cool 'behind the scenes'... we've played there by our own in 2008 and will return on 21st August 2010 @ the whisky's stage...
Almost any employee of the Whiskey such as Bartenders etc. will tell you that it's haunted but it's only noticable after closing when it's quiet. "Christa" saw the ghost of Jim Morrison swigging on a bottle of Jack Daniels and refuse to pay as recently as 2007...Dan O'Niallain, Grafton, Mass.
We always remove our sets from a location and restore it to the condition in which we found it. We put the interior back the way it was. The exterior remains the same.
I'm sure we didn't remove any history - Motley Crue's or anyone elses?

The Whiskey was THE place back in the 1960's in L.A.
Now, everytime I go past it, I think of the history of the place and not what is going on now.
Thanks for sharing this video with us.
