Shrugs are to build the traps not the anterior deltoid fag. You’re not stimulating any muscle doing it in that retarded fashion. But, I guess if it moves… it’s a rep.
Learn to do shrugs douchebags!!.......the gay twink boytoy in the white needs to drop down to 225lbs and actually do some shrugs instead of bar humpers..
alternate grip on heavy shrugs is asking for a torn bicep tendon, especially using what "god" has given the white shirt guy. blue shirt understands shrugs though it is apparent the middle and highest weight sets are entirely more dangerous than beneficial by the looks of the rep count and form. white shirt is entertaining, to say the least.
also, look into versa gripps pros as opposed to those terrible cotton/textile straps. much better investment.

The man in the white shirt is going to end up with a serious spine injury, hip thrusting with that much weight being held and being quickly moved forwards and backwards slightly D: and the man in blue, well he seems to think he's shrugging when infact he is using his quads and isn't moving that bar up and down more than 4inches i wouldn't say. He's using the momentum of the bar both people are D: won't gain muscle
You should lower the weight a bit and work more on form. shoulders back, squeeze the traps..didn't see any of that. Guy in white seriously can't do shrugs with that weight!
@dougec He is probably talking about ROM. The bar is moving no more than an inch. Then the guy in the white shirt (i give him props for lifting that weight) but he isnt shrugging. He is doing some kind of a hip thrust lol.
This is the best way to shrug and how all the powerlifters and strongmen shrug for increasing their deadlifts. The barbell shrug should be your heaviest lift, more weight than your deadlifting.

Doing that kind of form, quickly shifting the weight using the momentum of your body and the wobbling bar D:
use muuch less weight and do 2 seconds up and 2 seconds down, that will most certainly do your muscle more good that doing what your doing here! D:
however, well done for lifting that insane amount of weight 8O :)
