  • Brother J was and is one of my top hip-hop artist along with culture freedom(P.R.T) Pharoah Monk, etc he is thorough but what happened to Mc's like him it's like all of the ones that can actually spit tend to speak about selling hard or whatever and life ain't at all about the hustle knowledge is infinite then you have these bubble gum rappers claiming to be the best that ever done it screamin what gang theyre from PAHTOOIE i spit on them

  • @HipHoposaurus Yeah maybe in big cities, not on the radio in the sticks where I live at.

  • @HipHoposaurus Its sad that it probably never will be played on the radio.

  • @JaredKC14

this is hip hop baby! and I have played this on my show- check Tower Block Radio.com

  • True underground head speaking to an intelligent audience. The brilliance is that he is attracting the people that he want's to hear his music, No popular emcee selling millions of records can say that, hahaha.

  • dowp shit

  • Big big tune!

  • @bournedevinesupreme Brother J kills Pharoah Monche!

  • The most slept on MC ever. His flow is SICK.

  • ''No matter narrow path coming if it's wide open range... I release the energy that's mentally maintained...."

That's hot!!!! This is one of my favorite songs... sick!

  • Time to represent

  • J from the Clan but he's not a Wu-Tanger!

    wohoo hell yeah,dope track!!

    Exodus, hip hop redemption

  • thank you my brothers and sisters for all your respect..

  • i need this album on vinyl.thats NEED.

  • Dark Sun Riders, Zone Welder, Feel And Move, nuff said

  • heell yeaaaaaaaaah!!!!

love this track, just seen the video for the first time!!

  • when i met him, he passed me this video. i still know all the words. this is the ish.

  • From "Praise The Creator Most High as He is the essence of my totality..." to "And by this time, I think you know who I Am, dont substitute my title yellin' mc from the Clan...", the album is slamin' and still very much relevent!!!

  • Truth to power.

  • This is a dope album "Seeds Of Evolution" I still bump it like Warriorbrand...Feel Each Others Rhythm And Move...What has become of man and music...LOL...You know where Im coming from...

  • Hell yeah I know where you coming from. Don't forget 'Justice' and 'The Mouth Ritual'. Although they are both short, it's still a classic.

  • Yes, I do know where you're coming from.

  • Man, this song entered my head last night at 11 for no good damn reason. What a great track. I used to work at Jeans West (JW) and we put this song on repeat...LOL

  • I hear that.

  • Thank you. At least you agree with me

  • Yep. These kids don't know shit about real hip hop.

  • Word!

  • To your mother!

  • I got the album. I still bump it. This is real Hip Hop, not any of the dumd ass stuff you hear now. Word!

  • True dat.

  • brother j what ya say

  • Yeah BABY, Love this! Way to go my beautul brothers. "Dark Sun riders let me handle this". This sister is with you!

  • There are times where I always think that Snoop must have had Borther J as an influence, because of the slow drawl of words.. If anyone ever gets the chance, ask Snoop....

  • Brother J's voice, flow, sense of rhythm and timing is immaculate. He's up there with Pharoahe Monch as far as MC skills, and thats saying A LOT. This track's baseline is LETHAL.

  • ill second that, the beat is crazy. one of my fav x-clan songs. pharoahe monch - nice name drop. havnt heard that name in awhile

  • of all the brother J songs,i think these lyrics are most mind-boggling.i love it

  • really? why did they have to change the name? was it some record label BS? Because I dont think Prof X was on the album..

  • The Dark Sun Riders were a side band for brother J. In the track Xodus, he mentions them. The members are D.J. Mate, Master China, and Ultraman.

  • AND the Rythem Antenna...for the love of God,how could you forget the Rythem Antenna?!

  • It was the reformation of X Clan for the fans.

  • dont know if its been said in the comments.. but this is not X Clan, its Brother J and the Dark Sun Riders and the song is called Firmly Handle This.. i think ;) but dope never the les!!!

  • group and title is Dark Sun Riders ^^

  • GOLDEN AGE!!Professional skill!

  • True Dat!!

  • this was when rap was great!

  • Amen to that.

  • You're welcome

  • i got my CD off ebay...then loaded on my ipod...this and the 'mouth ritual' are now the most played song on it...very differant album, but i like it^^

  • wow, his voice changed dramatically, but still the hotness...

  • BRO J BEST MC ALL TIME

  • yo what album u guys recommend me?

    a brother j album or x clan?

    wich one?

  • Either one would do.

  • well, the newest is X-Clan's Return From Mecca...plenty of hits on there.

Ive enjoyed everything from the entire X-Clan crew.

  • BEST. Brother J is a Legend. X-Clan has been around for more than a minute too! Shiat, mutha fuckas better start recognizing the real. I hate the shit out today, its just sad whats on the top "pop" charts. When there is stuff like this out there, it can only make one wonder why so many choose the bling spinning rims idiot dumb shit route, hmmm, its probably easier, and their "simple mortal minds", can only handle so much. WORD UP, KEEP THE DARN SUN ALIVE.!!

  • True. Understand the moguls who are the powers that be see hip hop as profitable and they pick the artists who they want mainstream. At the same time, we the people need a more hands-on approach to controlling what is played and what we want to hear. Peace!

  • Indeed. A good lesson, as in this Dark Sun song is, "less chemicals keep my body vitals". His words are undeniably to the core of society and the world, "Justice is not blind, man is.". I've followed this group since 1990, X-Clan, To the East, 92, Xodus and so on, and this group is "the real" of what "hiphop" is truly meant to be, and hence progress. BUT, the masses do not want what is real. The majority feels intimidated by intelligence and mastery of progressive thought. Hard to change minds.

  • So true.

  • nice

  • Glad you enjoy it.

  • its hard to put into words how fkn dope this is to me...

only one man on this planet spits like this...

how this dos'nt appeal to more people is a mystery...

this is platinum on a whole nother level than record sales.

  • Right about that.

  • i will always regret sleepin on this album

  • The remix to this song was unbelievable.

  • keep it up brother j is the shit x clan is some real truth music

  • what happened?how did we let rap get to the shit it is now?

  • Blame the fucking powers that be. At least you and I appreciate real hip hop.

  • wikkid chune!

  • Artifacts, Brand Nubian, Juice Crew, X Clan real hiphop

  • Don't forget Public Enemy, and Boogie Down Productions.

  • Public Enemy is awesome

  • That's the truth.

  • What a great bass line! Shit! This is what hip hop is supposed to sound like.

  • Some of the best rap ever. Everything I've heard from them resonates.

  • True dat.

  • He raps good i just think that he ends the sentence to fast wich doesnt rhyme to the last one, but if you listen closely you can hear the rhyme that makes a point.

  • the worst part is a lot of aussie kids are listenin to that new bullshit rap and dont have respect for the good old shit

  • RIP Sugar Shaft and PX.

  • Make me wanna go grab some of these ig-nant niggas outside my window and TEACH to'um.

  • You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make 'em drink. For the most part, kids nowadays are unteachable and unreachable. They'd rather rap about bullshit than deepshit!

  • How true. They don't even play Common or Talib Kweli like they should.

  • check this....

"Jak nie ty to kto? feat brother j"

  • The remix is most van-glorious!!!!!!!!!!

I used to listen to this album religiously!!! I miss this!

  • I hear you.

  • I lOVE BRO.J's Album "Seeds ov Evolution" sooo much...it's dope hardcore stuff.I enjoy in it wile I smoke blunt...peace ;) you should try it like me ;D
