  • You sound like a beginner.

  • This is good, but some songs are better left on the piano

  • Just a thought what rig are you using to record? would like to know =) thanks in advance

  • @DeltaBluesGuitar901 ... I use a Rode NT1-A mic into Adobe Audition. That's it.

  • piano > guitar . and will always be.

  • @xMaxMustermannx Just this piece, I hope. Not in everything.

  • @xMaxMustermannx they both are enjoyable to play, which is why i play both

  • very very good played. but if you lean back , close your eyes and just listen to the sound output, you will why the piano > than the guitar and will always be. hf hating my , you guitar lovers.

    greets the piano lover

  • wow this is really calming but I can feel the liveliness behind it :)

  • How many idiots are needed to tease a song?

    Thank planetalk

  • Scott himself said as long as you've got rhythm, you can play this. Excellent job! :D

  • is that a rode mic?

  • This is so cool :D

  • sounds very nice, ignore the idiots.

  • Well, I heard this by many a piano player, some guitar player, but THIS is quite an interesting way to play it,

  • Well, I heard this by many a piano player, some guitar player, but THIS is quite an interesting way to play it,

  • bravo!!!!!

  • pretty square dood.

  • classic guitar 4 ever

  • Nice! a tricky tune finally arranged with streamlined fingering (meaning relatively easy( but capturing the spirit of Joplin's piano!

  • No tempo, no base. this is ragtime. Too flat. Got all the gear though - too bad about the playing.

  • I'd be verying interested in buying the music to this arrangement, but when I go to your site, there is just stuff about joining, downloading videso and a bunch of other stuff that I have zero interest in. Would you sell the arrangement in standard notation (and possibly tab)?

  • It's because the shop that I use to sell my lessons is all part of the forum, Mickey. Joining is no big deal, once you're in go to the link on this page, buy it and download it. It's tab and notation.

  • Thank's for your lesson!!

Visit my personal perfomance of Maple Leaf Rag!!!

  • I love Joplin and this song in particular. Thank you for such a beautiful rendition.

  • wow! ottima prestazione- very nice

  • It's easy to get a bucket load of talent, start with a dump truck load of practice...

  • you don't need to try to play 'fast' to

    impress listening audience!...'

Scott Joplin said you should never play ragtime fast

  • how is this a lesson? cant even see your hand

  • @djboony no where on here does it say that this is a lesson

  • I'd love to learn that style, but you need bucket loads of talent.

  • nice!

  • VERY NICE

  • Simply fantastic!

  • YEAH!!!!

  • Love the guitar, looks very much like my Walden G3000, except mines not varnished (wish it was though)

  • That was nice. Kudos on not ruining it by playing a million miles an hour.

  • Really sweet and syncopated. Nice job

  • Swingy and catchy syncopation! Shows that

you don't need to try to play 'fast' to

    impress listening audience!

I applaud you for using guitar the correct

way - and for not junking up Joplin!

  • very clean, rhythmic, and relaxed - I like this version - as well as a number of your other songs.

  • I really enjoy Kirk's playing and his arrangements. I think he's a smart and creative musician with a keen sense of what sounds good to the musical ear. He also understands the importants of tone and taste. Thanks Kirk.

  • Why thank you, MusicEd1 ... very kind of you to say so.

  • b-82 - this is not for beginners - i found the camera on the plucking hand very helpful - the rest of the song is pretty simple - try strumming the chords in time with the lesson - it's kinda like "jammin'" - you'll amaze yourself - have fun'n'strum

  • to bonita- this is not a beginner lesson - i found the camera on the plucking hand far more insightful than the left hand three chords that you should be able to pick out without tabs

  • this is AWESOMENESS! but this is not a lesson. plz make a real lesson video and break it down slowly [@!!]

  • AWESOMENESS!!!!! GREAT @!!

  • not bad; a little faster would be correct

for this on guitar; and more harmonies ... it

    is kinda skeletal.

  • agreed. not much feel. It's like you haven't heard the music, just learnt straight from tab

  • Now that's amusing JustDan21, since I wrote the arrangement and therefore the tab. Pretty hard to do without having 'heard the music', don't you agree?

  • Amazing! Well done! I wish I could play like you. On guitar!

  • Very nice Kirk! Do you have a lesson on

    this arrangement available??

  • Yes I do, but it's a paid download, I'm afraid.
