  • You ever seen Eccleston in a film called 'Shallow Grave'?...Nice one wiv the tag...it was like watching an interview wiv you in it...diggin' your Scottish accent!...I think you hammered the nail...Adric was an asshloe...so was McGann...at least...most old timers will think that...Oh!...and as for standup...you are seriously the biz!...Be well TL!

  • @maadmaestro Was Ewan McGregor in that? Sorry if I misspelled. I seem to recall seeing a movie with that title but it was a long time ago and it was about money? Ill gotten gain, as it were?

  • how could you forget Ace? How could you????? "cries a little"

  • Sorry Gunfighters is what its called...wait do I care I've made enough comments already and it was a terrible serial lol.

  • 5. Four way tie: The Chase/The Gunslingers/Love & Monsters/Daleks In Manhattan-Evolution of the Daleks.

    6. Mel

    7. Colin Baker

    8. Technically the Daleks but to avoid cliches...The Krynoids from Seeds of Doom

    9. That...thing from Love & Monsters

Wow I said way more than I should've but what can I say I love Doctor Who That much lol. Look forward to the next review with the Tom Baker era and congrats on the job!!!

  • continued...

Though that may be just spur of the moment.

    3. Romana...I love how she is actually on par with The Doctor and yet still has a quality that allows the audience inside (Though her departure in the series still pisses me off)

    4. I honestly have no clue but I've narrowed it down to this many:

The Invasion/The War Games/The Talons of Weng-Chiang/The Caves of Androzani/ Silence in the Library-Forrest of the Dead/The Eleventh Hour

    Continued...

  • 1. I became a fan during David Tennant's time. My friend/bassist wouldn't shut up about how amazing Doctor Who was and I finally gave it a go a couple times and I thought it was interestingly bad at first. I thought it was interesting but BAD! Then I saw the episode Fires of Pompeii and my opinion completely changed and thought this show can do a hell of a lot I gotta see more...so I did.

    2. I'm honestly going to say Matt Smith. He's REALLY blown me away farther than I could've possibly thought

  • 1 At 11 years old

    2 Tom/Sylv

    3 Romana2/Ace

4 I always say The War Games, but Androzani, Fenric, Inferno and City of Death are all right up there too.

5 Journeys End. Ye Gods, that was bad...

    6 Don't know really. Dodo, I guess.

    7 McGann. Too brief.

Congrats on the job, man! ;)

  • @codyw1 I've forgotten about most of those but they will come around again and I will most likely change my mind!

  • Good to see you again, and I'm glad to hear that things are looking up.

  • @BayAreaLen Yeah, It's been a rough year but I'm hanging in there.

  • Very happy to hear you got a job. I thankfully still am working at Best buy and got a raise today in my review and many good comments on what I have been doing.

1 I became a fan during the 80's watching Tom Baker on pbs even though the first story I saw was Castravalva on saturday without and cliffhangers.

2 I do currently enjoy Patrich Throughton as my favorite.

3 Companion has to be Ian and Barbara. They had such an impact on the Doctor that all the companions should be grateful for.

  • @SILENTSZ

4 Fvaorite episode is Inferno but this may change since I am watching them all in order again

5 Least Favorite episode has to be the Macra Terror. Too many unanswered questons about them and it was a poor story overall. I saw a recon with the audio and it was just horrible

6 Least favorite companion was Dodo

  • @SILENTSZ It's only a 20 hour contract but with all the other stuff I may be okay. Good for you, on your raise! Keep up the good work!

  • as for favorite doctor, well its a perfect tie between Jon Pertwee and Tom Baker, 70's doctor who for me was a golden era. Favorite Monster, well theres the temptation to say Daleks, but i really like Cybermen, if I were to go for a less reacurring monster Id say Sea Devils. Least favorite episode is "Fear Her", it just really annoyed me. Worst monster, like Lopez i dont really have one. As for when I became a fan, long ago and its a long story! Cant wait for more reviews Lopez!

  • The episode is called "The GunFIGHTERS," not the "GunSLINGERS." :P My least favorite is hands down "Love And Monsters."

  • @sixstanger00 hahaha! slingers, fighters, hey, it blew! That horrible ballad every two minutes! aaaarghh!

  • Really looking forward to the next one. I love War games close to my top faves too but im afraid i have to go with the boring majority and pick Caves of Androzani as my no1 apart from that monster its just frickin perfect.

  • Oh dear, don't ask where little Time Lords come from. You'll get the Looms/Lungbarrow crazies coming out of the woodwork. ;) (Just teasing, crazies! Really! *backs away slowly, hands raised*)

And thank goodness I've found a fellow fan that can't stand Tegan. Mind you, you were kinder in wishing he'd leave her on a primitive planet. I wanted him to just toss her out into the Vortex. Ahem... *grin*

  • @dbvixxen hahaaaaa! They hatch out of the cabbage patch!

  • @Tricklestone Of course! Time Lords would never, ever, ever have sex. That's an icky human thing, and they're alien! Never mind the two hearts, the insane level of intelligence, the respiratory bypass or the ability to travel in time... not having sex is what makes them *really* alien! ;-D

  • Btw, congrats on the job!

  • @RealArcalian Thanks! It's not a full contract but I get health and dental. The other part time work I do will pad out the rest of my existence. I will be doing a lot of paring down as well.

  • 8. A snarky annoying one.

    9. Cybermen.

    10. That big green blob from 'Creature from the Pit'.

  • Only twice did I see Doctor in Eccleston's performance; the 'Earth Revolving' speech from Rose (which any other Doctor could have done as well or better), and the 'Every now and then a victim is spared' speech from Boom Town. The rest of the time he needed Rose or Jack to carry him. McGann, my second favorite Doctor, blows him out of the water with what little screen time he has. And btw, the Time War destroys the canon far more than being half human does.

    *continued*

  • 1. When I was six years old and saw Tom Baker.

    2. Sylvester McCoy.

    3. Ace

    4. Tie: Remembrance of the Daleks/Curse of Fenric

    5. Love and Monsters.

    6. Mel.

    7. Christopher Eccleston. I've seen Let Him Have It. I've seen him in Who. I've seen him in Heroes. I've seen him in 28 Days Later. And only in 28 Days Later did he not completely suck. *continued*

  • @RealArcalian ACE! OH MY GOD, I FORGOT ABOUT ACE! Damn, she was a fine companion. It's because I'm in the middle of it. I can't see the edges anymore. Mel was a honey. I wasn't keen on her before but I realize now I had a crush.

I see a lot of Tom Baker in Eccleston, the loopy smile, mostly. It's not that I thought Mcgann sucked, there were only two hours of him is the only reason he's my least favorite.

My least fav candy bar is the smallest one. I'll eat it but want I want more. Ha!

  • @Tricklestone Yah, I get that you just didn't get enough Paul. Big Finish audios help with that. But in that less than 90 minutes of his own time he blew me away more than any save Sylv.

I didn't go into new Who expecting to hate Chris. His whole season I kept trying to like him. But there was just nothing there. At best, the Valeyard crossed with a football hooligan.

  • My god mate - you are probably about the only person other than me that loves 'Let Him Have It'. It is my favourite film of all time, my only criticvism being Ecclestons northern accent in the part of a Londoner!!! Paul Reynolds is fantastic. Chris Craig (the real one) lives not far from me would you believe, and he is a nice bloke....

  • @kamelion7 I'm getting from Netflix on my next round. Great movie, tragic story.
