Nope. This game is old yes, but there's plenty of servers out there that will still host it. The only problem (if its even really a problem at all lol) is that almost EVERYONE has like two million custom mods now, so when you join you have to download new stuff for that map, its not a long wait though.

Its one of the many things I still love about this game.

This game is not bad whatoever for a release date of 1999 I remember when me and my uncle when to a lan game with like 20 people and we all were playing this game it pwns.

Another tips:

1) Go to LOW with all MAP textures and high on actor textures. Opponents will be better visible

2) Remove in options "Flash when shootin" (it distracts and affects ur aim) also disable dynamic lighning and in unreal.ini disable coronas. -- better FPS + more acure aiming.

3) Dont use scope in SniperRifle. Aim with dot. Its faster and u can do that while running/moving

4) Always move!

Thats probably all I can make over my experience in 10 years playing this game ;-)

2 more tips:

1) Change cursor to dot. Its small but u see PRECISE where are u aiming. the triangles and stuff like this are less precise

2) Hide ur weapon. Learn to fight without seeing it. Weapon itself takes some screen space making in dead to see if there is a opponent

3) Change POV. Enter Console and type pov 120 (press ENTER). The angle of view will be increased (u can adjust changing the 120 value less or more). You will see more opponents

yeah. Dodge!

When you press fast twice LEFT or twice RIGHT or twice UP u dodge. Dodge is way faster than running and jumping.

My fav technique (one of fastest) is dodging to side (LEFT or RIGHT) because it does not require to stop to dodge (as in UP). Also NEVER jump unless you are running on some mountain (upwards). Always dodge on other surfaces. Its easy to master, but takes time. When u master it you will be faster :-)

just keep practicing with bots...set their dificulty level in time to time from adept to inhuman and eventualy to godlike and then start playng online with human players when you fell that youre good enough.....and when your practicing with bots....dont talk to them....just give them commands using the "V" key if you whant to talk so badly to computer controlled players...LOL

dude. maybe part ofhe reason why you were such a bad shot then was because you chose the CRAPPEST crosshair. its HUGE. no room for accuracy. use the old typical "+" crosshair and you'll get headshots all the way...

also, a tip is that its better to have the crosshair a colour other than blue and red - maybe green (bots uniform is the same colour and you can get confused.)
