  • just came here to troll since i have a lynx coat! Trolololololol

  • I bet 30 lynxes are much warmer than a single coat .-.

  • I want to kill JLo and use her as a skin coat. After all, what's wrong with that?

  • ok, if you are NOT a vegetarian, this video does NOT apply to you...

    Thanks

  • What pretty cats! They have such beautiful faces!

  • Natasha is such a gorgeous girl. Another issue, I think, is to make sure that there is no cheating in the clothing labels. We need to make sure that the product matches the label. We need to do random check to make sure that a faux fur coat really used faux fur. This problem, of course, also exists in other industries.

  • keep saving this beautiful smart creatures! what this organization is doing is so great

  • I agree, some cultures have to survive in harsh conditions and respect the animal they are killing using every last part of it to live, keep warm and survive. NEEDLESS KILLING FOR FASHION IS WRONG ! I support any organization that stops the trade.

  • u u guys r only doing stuff for cats do things for every animal

  • I hate fur how is it coming back when everyone knows what happens is it that the world is getting more self centred and selfish I don't know all I know is it has to stop

  • Aprt from the extinction of a species or the damage tot he ecosystemt heir absence could bring, frankly with modern technolgy u can synthesise fur and other materials so well i don't see why u need to kill animals for it. It was only practical for our ancestors to do ite when there was literally NO other option, they were desperate. I mean if u survived a plane crash and needed to keep warm, ok fine, but otherwise no

  • Good to hear this message from a reputable organization. I have never worn fur and never will. And honestly, fur looks better on the animal. xD

  • Its so pretty, damn hunters!

  • ;__; Sooo cute.

    Oh, the lynx, too.

  • You cant get wrapped up in shit like this. Theres bigger things goin on in life that need attention like rappist, murdurs, and child abductions. So someone wants to kill an animal just for their skin, they'll get theirs in the end. No point in wasting your time.

  • @tboogietbg this isnt shit. they feel pain aswell. people are just destroying the world we live in. im not gonna fight u, but just because these animals dont have the ability to talk our language, doesnt mean that they should just be left there.

  • When I think of people wearing fur, I always think of Buffalo Bill, the serial killer in Silence of the Lambs who killed women for their skin and made coats out of it. Pretty much the same idea. Just sayin'....

  • even though I'm a vegetarian I'm okay with people eating meat because that's natural and it's just science...but wearing an animal is not. I've seen a lion eat a rabbit and a hawk eat a snake. But I've NEVER seen a lion wear a rabbit coat and hawk wear a snake as an anklet!

  • Jasper is another big cat that I found on another video, it seems he is a breed between Siberian and Canadian Lynx that combines perfectly with Natasha... I just need another 23 and call them all "My Jacket"

  • god i wish these organizations would stfu and mind there own for a change animals will die for there skin and meat it will never change and these organizations know it as well there just sucking up all this free money from suckers

  • @piffking420 Lynx/big cats definitely don't need to die for their skin or meat.

  • @BigCatRescue its been going on for thousands of years and its gonna keep happening no matter what anyone says or does

  • @piffking420 You're wrong, things change and this is a subject that many people want to see end.

  • @BigCatRescue Yeah, maybe they should kill you for your skin and meat!

  • @estrangedzebra or maybe you...

  • @piffking420 I wish you would stfu and stop being ignorant. Just because you're too stupid to change doesn't mean everyone else is.

  • @piffking420 i hope u get skinned alive...ill track you down and the last thing you will ever see is me holding a chainsaw over ur throat. i guarantee it. >:(

  • @piffking420 maybe we can skin you and make a coat for the Lynx.

  • @piffking420 killing for fur is one thing, but doing so in an inhumane way is another. I know for a fact I would prefer not to be skinned alive when I die, not only because it would be painful but because I would like to be shown respect. Animals are not just a piece of meat, regardless of how arrogant some people are. Regardless of how these organizations work, they are raising awareness of an international issue. If you have issues with it, instead of complaining, recommend a way to improve it

  • You STFU. You watched the video. Back in the day there was no alternative to needing fur and fur was needed to survive; however, seeing how there are alternatives to fur in recent times that are cost effective as well as cruelty free, fur has become obsolete in most places and is used mostly for fashion. Commercially produced meat and fur is cruel and because of our huge population it is unsustainable and the ways implemented to make it cost-effective are sick and disturbing.

  • how would they like it if i killed them skinn them take there hair off and use it as a coat then eat them

  • Is it wrong to use fur of an animal that has already died, using everything there. ?! Meaning the fur, it's meet to feed the other animals around etc..... Or is it wrong tooo? Just wondering.

  • @MasTArrrRR I would say so ....

  • @BigCatRescue Good to know so in essence it's not wrong to use fur it's the fur trade that tortures the animals that's wrong.... So it's a specific factor of the fur trade that is wrong on all humane levels and I couldn't agree with you more... It's so sad. Anyway thank you for the prompt reply... You guys do angelic work!!!!!!!

  • @MasTArrrRR the issue with some fur farms is that the animals have not already died when the fur is removed. IMO killing for survival is completely different as it is natural and necessary. I would say using the whole animal after killing it is a lot more respectful than killing it solely for fur.

  • i love fur clothes! they are so cool!!!!

  • @tropicthunder1212 that's because you're an idiot. I'll bet you waste your life away watching Desperate Housewives and drinking yourself unconscious with overpriced wine.

  • @tropicthunder1212 ur gross

  • i lov you guys! You do an amazing job of taking care of such beautiful animals...

I cant stand anyone wearing fur... the thought of killing an animals for vanity sickens me! ANTM you do not even have an argument... To equate wearing fur with eating meat is a very weak argument..Keep up the great work!

  • every time i see someone wearing fur (even faux fur... because it is almost like the real thing) under my breath i will say "animal killer". then they will stare at me like im nutzo. i will be like what? and say again "at least im not the one killing poor sacks of cutie pies"

  • @ANTM55

I think you're just upset because you feel morally inferior

I don't mean to be a bitch by saying that but c'mon!

You might as well just say "well, we kill animals for lots of reasons so we can keep killing them". It's ridiculous!

Oh, and leather is not referred to as a "meat biproduct" but rather an "animal biproduct".

I'd like to say that you are the one who needs to grow up,but I think something better to say would be you need to open your eyes to unethical human practices

  • I put myself through college trapping. Fox, raccoon, mink and coyotes. I hunted for 30 years...deer, squirrels & bear. Now, I don't think I could shoot any animal. The last time I went out for deer, I watched a doe and three fawns play for two hours in front of my stand. After that, no more hunting for me. I've no problem with anyone else harvesting animals legally, but I've had a change of heart.

PS: I still love me some meat!!

  • saw Tasha today...she's still as gorgeous as ever. Kudos to BCR and their staff/volunteers for making this such an amazing sanctuary for big cats.

  • Please go to the site Fur Is Evil (link is on my Youtube channel) to see how Google profits from Lynx fur.

  • The hunters who kill for fur in illegal conditions must be imprisoned.

  • I think I would consider the years of comfort that could be gained from a fur coat more valid that the minutes gained by eating a steak or some bacon.

  • @Kombucha

That *is* a relevant point, fair is fair.

However, & I do mean *personally* I just couldn't justify the death of 1 not to mind 20 of these exquisite creations of nature just 4 a coat.

And come on, 'years' of comfort'...unless Ur in a very very cold climate Ur still not getting years of comfort out of it either. U'd have to wear it every day, 4 years.

Even then, look at the fantastic, evolutionarily advanced & beautiful animal that has to leave its coat go, forever.

    Any coat will do us.

  • I think I would consider the years of comfort that can be gained from a fur coat more valid than the few minutes that can be gained from eating a steak or some bacon.

  • Aww geez, I still have a framed pretty photo of a bunch of foxes. My sis got it out of a Nation Geographic mag. and gave it to me since I like foxes. They were so cute, unfortunately the article was about them being used for their fur. T.T

  • people in Alaska need to watch this... ive seen so many lynx pelts cheap over there.

  • There is a large diffrence between killing an animal for food and killing an animal for its fur. When you kill an animal for food you do not give it a painful death, it is not alive in cramped conditions it also is used for food which is needed for SURVIVAL.. is fur needed for survival? just for fashion.. i think not. Eating animals is the circle of life killing for fur is certainly not.

  • Wow!!! That Christina is a hottie! That doesn't qualify her to be an expert about the fur trade, but... holy smokes!!!

  • @5Cazador5

Oh Jesus....who says she 'needs' to be an 'expert' about the fur trade, if she's got a relevant message, which it is.

  • thank you for taking natasha in. she is such a beautiful animal and I know she is gonna be happy cuz wonderful people are taking care of her. the world would be a much better place if there were more people like you. god bless you. how dare those assholes skin, beat, and electrocute innocent animals?

  • i dont support fur from other animals.

But i definitely dont mind it if it's some stupid cat! big cats, domestic cats, whatever i dont mind if they're cramped and skinned alive. cats are the most annoying hateful things around. I dont mind shooting a cat in the face just to skin it later for a fur rug.

hell i buy big cat fur rugs just to support killing of big cats or any cats!

  • @bibi14930 Your nothing but a animal hater. How would you like it if you got skinned ailve.I bet you you would not like that. And also why are you watching this video.

  • Check out The True Nature Network's website for a video on this subject (and other animal rights topics) - it's called "FUR CRIMES".

(truenaturenetwork - then a period - then org)

  • Fur farms are evil! How can they make those poor animals be tortured, and suffer miserably just to go through a painful death?

If you are killing an animal use as much of it as you can! Be humane!

  • @crazyhairishere I agree with you saying that fur farms are torture but murder is murder regardless if it's "humane" or not. No animal should lose its life at all.

  • beautiful cats.....and the girl too :b

  • Why are people such 2 faced liars? We don't need fur no. We also dont NEED leather or meat to live. Killing an animal is killing an animal, for its meat, fur, whatever. Humans are animals, animals kill animals. Its life.

Also if you think leather is a meat biproduct you are a moron.

    People need to grow up.

  • Raising these animals in very cramped conditions just to slaughter them for the fur IS wrong. Only the fur is used and the rest of the animal is discarded all in the name of fashion!

  • Thats not true. Never will a fur farm throw away the meat part of an animal. It usually goes to be made into food for other animals to maximize profit. I do not agree with keeping animals in cramped conditions for anything, fur or meat, so all i can say is buy meat free range and fur from wild animals or from furriers like SAGA who basically have a animal welfare guarantee.

How is killing something for the sake of your taste buds any better than fashion? Both are killed for our own selfish needs

  • There's a difference between killing an animal for food/survival and killing it just because you like the way it looks, especially when faux fur looks just the same.

  • I very much disagree. The reason we no longer "need" fur is because there are alternatives, like faux as you say. There are also meat replacements, there is no "need" for a human to eat meat anymore but we do because we "want" to.

The need for faux fur has helped the fur industry badly. The demand for faux fur is so high the chinese have resulted to useing cheaper options (dog and cat fur). Now why I dont agree with this, The demand for faux itself has a negative impact on canimals.

  • Yes, there is a difference, but only a very little.

    People needn't eat meat.

You can live a healthy life without eating any meat.

Believe me, I was a vegetarian for more than twenty years and for more than a year I am a vegan.

  • @BigCatRescue Humans do NOT need meat to survive.

Meat is for pleasure & convenience, and so is fur.

The only people who NEED meat to survive are Inuits and other traditional tribes.

Faux fur is damaging to the environment and looks & feels horrible.

  • @BigCatRescue There is no difference for killing an animal for food or its fur.

And there is sooo many other foods out there that do not contain animal meat. I'm a vegetarian and I'm living. And I feel way healthier than I did 3 years back.

Food or Fur, they are still killing them cruely and that has got to stop. All animal cruelty has got to stop.

  • @BigCatRescue whatsmore frankly the fur looks better on the animal than it does on the person.

  • @BigCatRescue

Faux fur and pleather are made from oil and toxic chemicals that pollute the environment. May as well wear plastic bags. Also, when a fur animal is killed, the meat and bones are used as well. True, we don't "need" fur, but we don't need to eat pigs either. We'd kill less animals if we just ate cows since they contain more meat. Is it barbaric for someone to eat pigs because their taste buds like them more?

  • @cherrytoasterpastry In most cases the animals are "harvested" for their fur and the rest of the animal is wasted, but raising animals in tiny cages for a couple of years and then killing them simply for fashion will ALWAYS be WRONG, no matter what arguments are raised.

  • ANTM55, youre right, thanks for stating what everyone else is thinking.

  • @ANTM55 yes, we actually need the protein that meat gives us. Vegans are among the most unhealthy humans

  • @ANTM55 what? we need meat to survive. protein hello..?

  • @ANTM55

I think you're just upset because you feel morally inferior

  • @ANTM55 thank youuuu, im not proud to be a human, we fucking suck.

  • @ANTM55 Are you an idiot? Mentally ill? Just dumb? What do you think leather comes from? ANIMALS that are KILLED FOR MEAT. Do you think we NEED anorexic models strutting on a runway with animal hides on them. Do you think we'd die if we made faux fur? See, it's morons like who who make up the world's population of brainless, heartless trend-followers who will eventually be the death of it. How about you find a cause you believe in, like homelessness. Then let us help the animals.

  • @RacerScott Rofl!!!! And fur not just leather that comes from cows lol, fur aswel ahaha

  • @dobbins2550 just about sums it up lol

  • Leather mostly comes from animals you slaughter for meat. Mostly from cow and sheep hide.

So you're not just killing the animal for its skin but you're making use of the skin of the animal that has been killed for food.

Killing an animal just for its fur or skin is wrong.

You don't find much leather that comes from animals that aren't normally killed for food.

There is a lot of snakeskin, crocodile skin and stuff like that and that is wrong. Suffering an animal just for fashion needs is wrong.

  • Robertwc82 I have been scratched by cats a lot of times and i know a lot of people who have cats and septicemia is rare you are likely to get hit by lightning and you can get staff from a scrape.

  • wearing fur is just unnessesary we don't need it at all we have a lot other warm clothes

  • Thank you, BigCatRescue, for spotlighting the inherent cruelty in wearing fur.

Only beautiful animals and ugly humans wear fur!

  • Comment removed

  • so somebody can feed thier family asshole, all the people i met the sold fur trapped wild game, animals being raised in cages is wrong, trapping overpopulated animals in order to feed your family is right

  • Comment removed

  • Lynx could definitely kill a human if it wanted to, although lynx attacks on people are extremely rare, they can take down full grown deer in the wild! Where did you get your lynx from?

  • it was abandoned by its mother and had multiple cuts and a broken leg i miss it

  • That's sad how old was it? Where do you live? How long did you have it for? questions, questions...

  • it was about 2 months old when we found it, we lived in new york at the time, we had it for almost two years (sigh this month wouldve been his birthday) we wouldve given him to a santcuary like yours but we didnt know of any exept on that a family owned but it was in california

  • Killing animals for their fur is an unnecessary evil. The way they are killed is beyond that. Join the population against it. Click on my username to find out more (1 minute video).

  • Great rescue! Lynx' are beautiful. Down is warmer and cheaper and they don't use duck feathers any more.

  • its not fashion its survival are you trying to tell me i should be cold just so this cat can live!your logic is flawed.fuck the big cats we need to kill all species that cant be enslaved or used by man especially the ones that can kill us!i cant wait for the japs to kill of all the sharks!

  • Right..... like you need to kill an animal like this so that you, crafty human, can "keep warm".

Blanket? Down jacket, anyone? No, no,no! Give me Lynx fur, I NEEEEED it!!

    Jerk off...

  • lynx cant kill people dumbass there the size of a small black lab there claws would only scratch you and there teeth would be like a pencil poke to the skin. i had one as a pet and a guy like you snuck on our property and shot it four times just cuz he thought it was for survival of the fittest. who knows maby a mountain loin will eat you alive when your at your house

  • domestic cats can kill a human very very easily. if a cat scratches you deep enough it will get severe septicemia, and without anti-biotics you will die. this condition is known as cat scratch fever.

P.S. what would that pencil poke, do to the jugular of a smalll old woman or a child? lol

  • yup, also if your diabetic they would cut down the damaged limb....however killing just for fashion its not good, i might say, that not only big cats, should be counted also, wolfs, and other animals that are sacrificed for the fashion industry...thats inhumane....its like we are on a smaller scale then animals by doing that..

  • i cant wait for disease to kill off all retards such as yourself =). then again perhaps you could make an obediant little slave who one could work to death

  • @Deathninja5 and everyone cant wait till you die!

  • Guys don't you understand? We need to stand up and save these poor animals. Some animals aren't released back into the wild. Some of them aren't as lucky as this lynx.

  • Thank you for posting this video!!!! I agree that we should help these poor animals because they cant help much of themselves. Watch another video of 100kg of catfish being released by a Tibetan reincarnated lama to create the cause for an animal sanctuary, with the titleTHE JOY OF LIBERATING ANIMALS. It is so nice to see that thousands of fishes are being released back habitat.

  • Humans are the scum of this planet! PERIOD! FUCK ALL SORTS OF INDUSTRIES!!!

  • fuck you. people like you should be lined up and shot. you put animals and nature before your fellow man.you sit in cosy offices and homes and bitch about all the animals we should be saving were infact given half a chance these animals would eat you alive for there next meal.we will see how much you love the animals and nature when i strip you naked and throw you into the middle of a frozen jungle.youd be dead in two days!

  • @FNO108 YEA! i agree ppl dont belong here or anywhere! if a god rlly existed, he wouldnt have created us in the first place! but apperanly, there isnt a freaking god! i wish osama wasnt dead

  • can you own a pet lynx in NY or NJ?

  • No, thankfully this is banned in NJ & NY.

  • only thing i like better then wearing fur is eating meat. oh sweet tender animal meat so yummy so good!

  • true

  • @SRNF u sound like an idiot. ur a dissapointment and should be murdered

  • ??!!??!!

  • Beautiful girl, all though her intelligence is her best beauty:p

  • Beautiful girl, all though her intelligence is her best beauty:p

  • thank-you for saving the lynx's! No animal should be killed for their fur or skin EVER.

  • Thanks for watching, killing animals for their fur is just so sad.

  • What are all you fur lovers going to do when there are no more animals to kill? Kill each other for the skin? Stupid dumbasses, Rot in hell,

  • I love you Rush Limbaugh types. Your logic runs like this: it is stupid for anyone spend time doing something unless its self-serving and that compassion is condemnable.

  • My Lynx coat is made from 2-3 Lynxes max, I can count the pelts.

20 Lynxes! They are not small cats.

Where do you get your information from? PETA?

  • Just the belly fur is used in most cases to make fur coats, this can be matched up more easily than using the all the fur of the animal.

  • 0-7890u9;-u890;p-u9-;u9;90/[

  • we wouldn't have this much pollution or global warming if we killed more animals to wear. Plastics and artificial material is what is fucking our earth up along with the confused fucked in the head tree huggers and antis.

  • Fur isn't natural. Do you think fur naturally doesn't rot? Not only do fur farms been infamous for polluting their local environments. Fur requires an enormous amount of toxic chemicals. Furthermore, fur farm maintenance itself requires more energy.

  • Bobcats and lynx kill over 10,000 people a year. I sound like pete now with my way over exagerated lies.

  • Get over it. It's an animal. It is a renewable recource and no different than eating a chicken. In fact it can be used and reused. They could however use the skins from the hundreds of thousands of animals killed in animal shelters and by PETA each year. In this way there would be no extra animal killing, But people cannot handle wearing mittens or spot as a jacket.

  • Humans are animals. By your logic, humans are are renewable resource that can be used and reused. We could be using the skins of millions of people who die each year for leather.

  • Wearing fur is unfair selfish and selfcentered. screw all people who wear fur.

  • I urge you all to please watch the documentary called "Earthlings".

Just google "Earthlings" and go to google video.

This video changed my life forever.

  • Wow they are beautiful.

I picked up a new Lynx fur coat for $150 last week.

It's the softest, most beautiful fur I have ever felt and it's so warm.

  • @Kelly2357 U HAVE A LYNX COAT?! U NO AN ANIMAL HAS SUFFERED AT UR EXPENSE?!

  • why would anyone want to kill an animal for fashion????

  • Why do people like fur on coats so much?!?!?!?!? I never even liked fake fur cause it still resembles fur and killing animals to look fancy(thats Soooooo discusting).

  • That cat looks like my tabby mix , so cute but the model is a bit "fake"

  • hunting for sport or for money is wrong i think but hunting for food there is nothign wrong with that thst what there here for anyways

  • Isnt there some petition we can sign or something?!?! It makes me mad how people think animals aren't equal. Ghandi even said a man can be judged by how he treats animals.

  • why would they need 40 of these lyx's to make one coat , that seems a bit exhagorated looks like you would need only 2 to make a knee length coat

  • It's between 20-40 cats for one coat, the reason being because they only use the belly fur of the cat which is the best.

  • Natasha is so beautiful. How can anyone kill her to make a coat?

  • @vincecharus - How can anyone kill her to make a coat? Poverty. There are many who do that to survive. And that is one of the problems that need to be adressed if this problem is to be solved. I once saw a video of an animal being beaten up until it was unconscious, and then it was skinned alive. Seriously sickening.

  • Natasha's a beautiful cat, and it makes me very pleased to see messages like this.

  • I wonder if she has been seen in leather or if she has leather seats in her car?

Or is she JUST protecting Lynx?

  • All animals deserve to live. However, these people are fighting for the rights of cats specifically.

Plus, (and I know this sounds cruel) the anti-fur fight is a lot more likely to be won then the fight for anti-animal products in general. (At least to begin with.)

We need to take things in steps. Save these poor creatures from fur-farms and THEN work on righting the entire system.

People can be hypocritical; but sometimes it is with due cause.

  • @mikamai yea these ppl should fight for other animals

  • As the other person said, one step at a time.

Bad mouthing her is rather ridiculous as you're implying she's somehow ignorant for not "saving" ALL animals, as if she should be some savior.

At least she's protecting something and doing something about. She's obviously doing more than being negative, which is more than I can say about you ;).

  • I refuse to wear anything that has fur even the "faux" fur. These animals need their coats more than we do. I hope our governmnet starts making laws to stop this.

  • Ugh! people should start banning shops that sell fur.. these poor cats are loosing THEIR fur for jus one piece of clothing.. its not like people are gonna die without fur.. there are other warm clothes made from MATERIAL not FUR and the way people have the idea to kill animals just for fur... i cant say anything but disgusting! just disgusting!!

  • Wearing fur is horrible and disgusting BUT, you gotta admit, Cruela Devil has style! KILL THE FUR INDUSTRY.

  • amazing video

    animal cruelty is bull $#&%!!!!!!!

    aha and

    theirs video's of people

    owning lynx and stuff

    isn't it illegal or.. what?

  • I would only wear a fur coat if I it was for survival in a cold enviroment, I would never wear a fur coat for fashion.

  • nice video. I wish they would do this with Americas Next Top Model.

  • I like fashion, I design clothes, and make my own clothes... and hate also animal cruelty..and when I think of the way these animals are treated JUST so someone can wear it...and so on.. It makes me sick. I think fur coats are hideous! And the ways animals are treated... is just disgusting.

    Vegetarian for life.

    -Raven-

  • VampireGirl1234321, HURRAY for you!!

  • "and also hate animal curelty" (sorry, just correcting a mistake from my previous comment)* Thank you. ^_^

    -Raven-

  • no aniamls should be killed for hunting and slaughtering and for fur i dont wear fur

  • For his part, President Bush wants to amend the Endangered Species Act to allow trophy-hunting Americans who kill endangered species in other countries to import them into the U.S. The proposal has roots in the Safari Club International; its political action committee has given about $800,000 in campaign contributions...

    Courtesy of: Dr. Walter Brasch

These amendments shall and will promote canned hunting. There are currently over 500 such reserves in Texas alone. Dick Cheney "hunts" on them.

  • them cats would rather be dead than living in that cage

  • Here at Big Cat Rescue none of the cats are in small cages. Each & every one of them has nice big yards & a den. They have areas with naturalistic shrubs they can hide if they feel like it. We have a regular enrichment program to see that each cat gets some fun distraction type activities. Of course we would rather they all be living wild and free, but when someone else makes them captive & they can't be free we give them as much space and as natural of a habitat yard (Cat-A-Tat) as we can.

  • they are not wild cats. you feed them, they do not hunt there prey like they are supposed to. which i feel is torture. they are made to hunt.

  • Yes the species is a wild & they were meant to be wild & free & hunt for their food. However, when people take away thier freedom or they are born without in captivity then sadly they cannot be released into the wild. While it is true we do feed them (& well, I might add) their nature is still that of a wild animal. They will behave as a wild animals do. Even though these cats are used to people around that does not make them tame or domesticated. They will still act & react as a wild animal.

  • hunting and trapping is a way to keep the population of these animals down. which is needed in the habitat. if all cats were protected they would over populate causing the animals they prey on to disappear which would result in the habitat being destroyed. it would cause a bad chain reaction. humans have hunted for years it is part of the balance of the life cycle. just think about it.

  • That is not completely accurate. Tigers have been over huunted mostly as a result of poaching for selling their hides & body parts on the black market. Over hunting can & does cause extinction. The Caspian Tiger, Javan Tiger and Bali Tigers are all gone (extinct) from the wild, thanks mostly to over hunting of the sub-spiecies. While I respect your opinion & do see & understand the points you are making, I do not agree with all of it. There is not enough of these cats in the wild for that.

  • im not supporting poaching, thats what the law is for. im disappointed with these groups against responsible hunting and trapping. instead of funding groups that try to make hunting harder for the people that love and respect it. make the law force like conservation officers bigger to pressure poaching.

  • Again, I do truly see & understand your point of view on responsible hunting when example deer is over populated in certain areas which will cause starvation in the winters, but I don't think that is the point we are trying to make. Personally I am not a hunter, however I know many who are. Some are humane others are not. The methods used by fur farms & fur trappers are quite often very inhumane. Have you ever been to a fur farm? Seen how those animals suffer their whole lives? It is awful.

  • Have you seen the awful pain these animals endure when caught in inhumane traps, especially the steel jaw type traps? That makes me sick & diisgusted to even think about the kind of fear and pain those animals endure.

  • i dont know if you talk to these animals, but as far as i've known it is impossible for us to tell if an animal is in pain.

  • I think it is easy to see when an animal caught in a trap is in pain. Again I respect you have your own opinion but I do certainly believe animals feel pain. I firmly believe the traps used such as steel toothed traps inflict a lot of pain and therefore believe they should be outlawed, period. The keepers here watch the animals very closely. They watch for changes in behavior, changes in apetite and attitude to know when one is in pain from something.

  • If you don't understand someone else's language =they must not feel pain. I think its obvious when an animal is suffering

  • It does not work that way. The cats will always be kept in check depending upon how much food there is for them. There is a dynamic relationship between predator and prey. A rise in prey population causes a rise in big cat population which then causes a drop in prey population which in turns cause the big cat population to drop as well. This occurs in naturally balanced ecosystems. So we as humans do not NEED to keep the population of big cats down that is the preys job.

  • What we as humans have done is remove top predators from the wild causing entire ecosystems to go out of balance. Deer is over popultaed in certain areas because there are no top predators left and YET we just passed a bill to make hunting mountain lions with dogs legal. And anyways the video is mainly talking about fur farms, people who keep hundreds of these animals in little cages to ise in the fashion indusrty. But they only use the soft under bellies. What a waste!

  • The treatment these animals get prior to being slaughtered for their bely fur is simply awful, cruel and inhumane.

  • @rj1548 Ur stupid

  • Instead of getting mad at Big Cat Rescue, get mad at the people who chose to keep these animals as pets and then gave them up. BCR stepped up and gave them the best home that they could.

  • WE are not the top of the food chain, it is NOT even a food chain, it is a food pyramid & we have simply overpopulated oursleves to the point where we are overwhelming other species. the earth was not made to support in excess of 6 billion humans. if we were to keep our OWN species in check then we could restore the ecological balance of nature. It is not the animals fault we have thrown the ecological nature out of whack

  • i better have an pet in my house then wearing it

  • user=oliverfurs

  • THANK YOU! Fashion? wearing a dead animal! No thanks-bluejeans and sweatshirts for me. I spend too much time trying to save every single living thing I can!
