  • lol it looks like ur mad when u put it in.. dont force it in that might make it worse go to an apple store they could fx it maybe... idk

  • lol... The Mac was laughing

  • Don't force the disk in or push it.. i did and i got a disk stuck it took me forever to get out

  • insert apple products only. lol. and bill gates is the monopolizer

  • i have that same problem and a number of other problems with my macbook lol ...i still love apple though... lol

  • so have u fix ur macbook happen with me rite now and its suck.so what should i do.should i delete all the pirated software b4 send to apple

  • I saw ur other vids if ur having sooooo many problems try getting a new one

  • yeah just shove it in like that!!!!! if that does not work give it a round house kick.. If that does not work ,pray or call mac.

  • same shit is happening to me. I dont know what to do. I am really pissed. Plz replie. I tried to insert the cd slowly. It made a sound but just chucked the cd out just like in this vid. I need help plz help

  • Obviously you were pushing it in too fast.

Just push it in slower until it starts to grab it.

    Problem Solved!

    You're welcome. :)

  • @1madDogz i know i thought the same thing :)

  • @TheAverythomas01 Brilliant!

  • the punch... solution of the brainless guy to repair attempt.

    never worked since Edison.

  • i think it just dosent like u trust me mine did the same thing till i threw it out and bought a pavilon dv7

  • poor thing

  • maybe this CD is not mac compatible

  • @mcallentimothy dvd are mac campatible

  • creo que si lo metieras de esa forma en otro aparato que sea de la misma entrada el disco se quedaria atorado y en una macbook te lo rechaza para que lo metas de forma correcta

  • classic American solution... if it doesn't fit, force it.... if it doesn't work, slam it.... no wonder why no equipment lasts around you people...

  • i have the same problem right now

  • get a external

  • @jakescomputer42 why the fuck would you get an external disk drive?! Scenario- Im going to go to the coffee shop and burn some files to a disk while im there drinking my mocha coaka some shit. OH almost forgot my EXTERNAL DISK DRIVE! why? pointless get a new drive. warranty probably will cover it

  • Macbooks REALLY don't like Vista DVDs...

  • the and is bad, the disc is stuck...

  • being violent with your tools is not a way to get what you want. it just breaks the tool. Just as you wouldn't try to jam toast into a toaster like that. you don't want to get frustrated with it and make the problem worse by snapping off the disk inside the drive. that means it has to go to the shop. One Smooth Slow motion everytime. i hope you didn't abuse the drive.

  • la vaz a joder mas de lo q ya esta joderrrr tu mismo la jodistee

  • yes this happens with the dell lap of my sister i hate dose sucking cd roms

  • when u push in the disk: mac: "HEY NOT THAT HARD!"

    ~ ettempts to read ~

    mac: "i'll give u a chance..."

mac: "i dont wan it, u have it!"

    face it, MACS SHIT

  • @BOS6940 Actually, you're full of shit.

    Windows is shit.

  • @coffeeandsugar20

me? full of shit? least i know how to use windows to it's full potential, thats what mac is for, users who dont know nothing about computers, and fucking retards, windows owns mac, u are full of shit thinking that windows is shit, u only like mac cuz ur so fucking retarded and dumb, plus on a shitty mac u cant use things like batch files, and i could make one to protect your computer, but thanks to shitty mac, thats not possible on that os, so go fuck ur mac shitty fanboy

  • @BOS6940 Um. No. I've built computers before and have modified the source code of the windows OS. And yes, the Mac OS can read batch files. I've made them so many times. It's called Applescript. I can tell by your spelling and grammar that you're not very intelligent so I'll leave it at that.

  • @coffeeandsugar20

umm, actually when i was typing, there were no mistakes at all retard... plus it's known as slang.... dickweed do some fukin reasearch

  • @BOS6940 o lulz i didnt no that u call dat fukin slang. since u seem to hav da entelagese ov a 2 yeer old, i tink ur fukin reetawrted. i meen sinse u dunt no how 2 spell da simplist of shyt, dat sez someting abowt winblows usars.

  • @coffeeandsugar20

i dint spell nutin wong u fukin bwaby, hows about i bwock u now then mutha fuka

  • @BOS6940 o fuk il go cry in a corner nao. im so sad.

  • almost looks like something was stuck in the drive. or something got bent on the inside.

  • Dude i know

macs have 2 different types of cd-drives!

    there is +and-

  • try holding command s while you turn it on

  • cd drives brake all the time send it to the shop

  • this dude is stuupid. push it all the way

  • he did

  • @dmcharmer your stupid

  • Your supposed to push it in all the way fast. not slow and n00b like.

  • it's doesn't matter

  • He dont likes the CD. So he barfs it the whole time out XD

  • It's saying "NO DVD-Rs ALLOWED IN ME!"

  • try reseting PRAM/NVRAM. Then try doing a hardware diag by holding the D key at boot-up

  • Was it a "Mac" that I heard about that has no problems? Hm... Let's think on that...

  • not "NO Problems"!!! Less Problems^^

  • Four thumbs down? Jeez... You know, if you take a look at a Mac commercial, they primarily just diss Windows, and sparingly promote themselves... It's actually using bad ethics to gain customers...

  • why don't you just take it out all the way and then put it in???

  • lol ! the drive says no ! un uh! lol!!!

  • checkpoint 50 was very right. Don't force it in if he's not hungry. Give him to apple and they will empty his stomach. wOw checkpoint 50 you have a good way of saying words! :D i give you a double thumbs up!

  • piece of shit mac.

  • this happened to me before. i didn't know what to do and i thought i should bring my macbook to the apple shop. eventually it came out lol dunno why though.....

  • i have the same problem on bine too it wont come out even a 1/10th of the CD diameter and wont suck it in unless i "through"it in.

  • lol spiting out disk warning this disk suxs change to windows problem fixed :P

  • My macs do that all the time, I didn't think it was even a problem.

  • for mine the disc won't come out or read :((((

looks like i'll have to replace it.

  • anybody tell me the difference between a combo and a superdrive? i've got a mac too.

  • a combo can only read dvds and a super drive can burn on to dvds and also can read them as well

  • combo just reads dvds. superdrive burn dvds

  • This is likely caused by a slightly bent inner frame (it's not the drive, but will either be a very quick fix with the right tool or else needs a new internal frame where the drive sits)

Fixed many of these in my days as a tech.

  • Don't force it in if he's not Hungry. Give him to apple and they will empty his stomach. Then it works! LoL!

  • @chekpoint50 LOL

  • @chekpoint50 they will empty his stomach and your wallet!

  • Somtimes The drives are just like that i work as a mac tech and sometimes u just have to slam them in there.

  • Hahah appel sux

  • Hahah you can't spell

  • Haha yoru spellign sucsk.

Learn to spell correctly before you try to bash something.

  • wow um your a really good speller pc. haha jk

  • you forced it to eat the cd. you can tell when its not hungry

  • i think with a slot-load drive ONCE you have ejected the disc, you ahve to remove it from the drive before putting the disc back in.

  • whats is happening is pretty much you broke your superdrive. you can get one from apple for around $300 dollars or buy it from someone else for a lot less.

  • You have to push the disk all the way in and then you macbook is trying to recognize it an then it should read that is what mine does but I have a superdrive!

  • buy MAcBook XMAS

  • Sounds like the superdrive keeps on saying (Uh Uh)

  • At 0:30 sec, you can hear it say (Not ah)

  • it does not like you

  • My gosh that combo drive sure does hate cds and dvds ohhh?

  • so is it the superdrive that makes the noise when you open the Macbook??? I kept thinking it was the iSight (which probably can't focus so that is a definite no)

  • buy a replacement superdrive on ifixit[dot]com, it may be a few hundred bucks but it atleast saves you time going on a trip to the apple store, have your machine get sent to apple wait a couple of months and let them do that when you can do all that process yourself at your very own home.

  • Kill It! :) haha

  • hahahahah i like 0:29 xD

  • or he could just give it to me...i wouldnt mind having it

  • i've got the exact same problem with my macbook, as well as bad discolouration and a red light that goes on permanently on the side. don't buy early off the line machines from apple is the lesson i learnt...

  • ROFL!!!

  • it looks like it hates you lol

  • LOL! its like saying uh uh

  • Sounds like it wont take it WEIRDDDD

  • your macbook is like No! No! No! yes! No! It just dosent want to eat

  • This happend to my dell studio 15

  • I can't believe you kept shoving it in instead of pulling the cd all the way out. That's probably how it broke. Thumbs up!

  • Holly crap you can't just do things like your going to wreck the thing completely!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • six words: scratch scratch scratch scratch scratch scratch! enjoy...

  • you have to be gentle

  • That would seriously piss me off. I'm having problems with mine right now, it makes that same exact sound upon startup and when I open the top from sleep mode, but there's no disk or anything in there! I think the drive must be going or something but I never even use it. Called Apple today and they're sending me a box for repair. Better fix that crap for me or else. The stupid thing is only 6 months old!

  • you have to take it completely out of the slot before you push it in again

  • This macbook gives you hell huh?

  • my dad has the same prob with his 1.42 GHz PPC mac mini when you put the cd in when it gets to the case slide your fingers up it will go in

  • This is why slot-loading sucks.

  • My macbook dose that too...what i do is push the cd all the way in..and it seems to work

  • can u replace the combo drive with a superdrive?

  • tes

  • yes

  • I don't have the time, or need, to look at the video responses before posting this comment: You don't need to violently force the disc in at like 40 miles per hour, it's a delicate mechanism.

  • i have the same problem can i fix it ?

  • It has to be replaced.

  • please where can i find it and how much ??

  • Look on ifixit[dot]com

  • Take the disc out completely, then insert it in gently.

  • Wow, what a dumbass.

Take out the cd completely, then gently insert the disc.

There is a sensor for the disc near the slot of the drive. Same as CD players in cars.

So relax, no need to break a drive like that.

  • Look at the video responses!!!!!!!!!

  • you press it too hard and you did not slide it all way in - thats why its broken now. You sould slide it all way in (slower!!!).

  • Look at the video replies!

  • its happen to me its easy wanna know how ? im bad in english so cannot tell lol

  • it's saying...yucky disc! I no eat!

  • LOL THIS MEANS WAR

  • take care of your mac!!!!!!

  • mac rocks

  • thats a copy of windows XP lol

  • why the hell do you press it so hard???

  • ramming the disc in does not make it better

  • really? sure looked like it freaking worked.

  • That funny sound when the disk recieves then spits out the CD is the Macbook actually crying, WOULD-YOU-PLEASE...HELP!-ME!

I have a 2 year old Macbook I dropped that can no longer read any CD-s but thank the Lord it can read and write DVD's.

  • u need to pull it all the way out first. u need to be more gentle with it.

  • first of all you shouldnt be ramming a disk into the drive

  • I have the kind with the tray in my laptop one timee it wouldnt play any thing I went to my computer and the drive wasnt there but I fixed it

  • weLl the thing is that youR macbook is asking it self > Am i gonna do this? naaaa

  • It sounds like the drive mechanism is broken, and you are right, Mac's quality has really gone down.

  • lol like its playing fetch but ur not throwing it that far

  • hahaha it likes to play games ^_^ mine doesnt do that :p

  • You know, ever since Apple switched to Intel, they have been having more problems than ever!

  • Yeah, really. Their quality has gone way down hill since 2005.

  • the quality of the ibooks/macbooks has always been poor to be honest, i don't know of a single one that didn't cause problems and i've sold a lot of them.

if you want quality, buy a macbook pro. :/

  • real funny how u put the cd in lol ..

i'm glad that my Mac in working well!

    good luck with ur!

  • i think its allergic to that disc, have u tried others???

  • Yes; they did not work. The CD drive is broken now.

  • try holding it sideways then push the button

  • Well, It's broken now, so it's too late.

  • Geez, dude. Be Gentle

  • See the first 2 video responses, where I was gentle. In this video, I simply lost patience.

  • Oh, I see.

  • 5 stars for entertaining me. Seriously, though, that sucks.

  • You should check out my Broken CD Drive video.

  • Look at the 2nd video response!

  • haha, it doesn't work so... *shove it in faster and harder*

  • Look at the 2nd video response!

  • i wish they had a slot load like the wii so it would accept mini dics

  • when it comes out, it sounds like it is laughing at you, "hee haa!"

  • i like the idea of the slot-load optical drives, but the apple computers always seem to have this kind of problem...

  • buy another new

  • I'm sorry if this sounds stupid, but can computers read CD-R disks? Cuz my computer can't. So maybe it just cant read it and ejects it.

  • Its pretty funny,But is a f*cking mechanism.

  • sometimes, when your cd is damaged, the drive will reject it,, maybe that's your problem.. it might be the cd,, not the macbook

  • That can happen, but the drive mechanism would full accept the CD, read it, then eject.

  • I'd take it in to replace the optical drive. Hopefully it is still under the free year warranty. I had a similar problem and had to actually turn my Macbook sideways to get it to eat the disc, which eventually lead to it not ejecting the disc...

  • haha, this made me laugh, its like the macbook is playing a game with you =D

but still this is a shame, macbooks are cool!

  • you have to remove the disk all the way before you insert it again !!!

  • thank you!!!!!!

  • HAHAHA this is funny, how it makes this funny sound!

  • MAC, YOU'RE 23 YEARS OLD, NOW EAT YOUR CD'S! it mad me laugh alot..

  • Try aother different disc if you have not fixed it yet.

  • I have a MacBook Pro, yes you do push the disc in 3/4ths of the way, no you don't RAM THE CD IN. Take it to Apple, once they fix it, take care of your stuff! After it ejects, and if it needs to be reinserted, take the disc out then put it back in, don't RAM CDS IN THE DRIVE!

  • Look at the beginning, I lightly tapped it in.

  • I would do exactly what you did.

  • my iBook g4 started acting weird. it doesn't pop this disk out all the way.

  • maybe taking it out completely and then sliding it back in gently would have been better than slamming it in harder and harder!

  • i agree you just keep pushing it in, your not supposed to do that its like a cd player in a car you just stick it in and it'll suck in the cd dont just force it in dude.

  • Pushit in until it graabs it it should PUll it in all the way then! no ramming

  • Good luck ;)

  • lol

  • Did you ever figure out what the problem was? And, did Apple fix it for you?
