super cars Very nice Tamiya technique 4wd system and you can replace anything when it breaks down.

I still have a grasshopper just uprated with 540 engine so it goes 60km/h

aaaah its too fast. already broke the front suspension arms and had to make it from aluminium and bolt it onto the frame at the exact spot.

also the gearbox broke down due to the Anti lock breaking system in the variable speed controller. It was setup too hard so the power of breaking broke my sprockets tooth

hi there, I just wanted to point out that subaru names the 4x4 AWD, as many car manufacturers have their own names (audi: quattro, VW:synchro etc.)

no, I don´t thonk it will last long. first you´ll have difficulties fitting the 3s into the chassis and then your gears will break or the differential will go up in smoke. I leave the big brushless things to other manufacturers. I´m waiting for a 1/10th scale rally car from traxxas ;-)

Maybe damage the motor, servo I don't know, never had a broken servo.

Tamiya motor cost next to nothing so you can replace every 2-3 years.

(once had a Bear Hawk for 15 years and the motor (from kit and only motor used in model) was still running fine when I sold it)

I taped the holes of the engine so most of the sand stays out. but you´ll have to clean the whole vehicle more often (bearings, axles etc.)

Hallo,

der Hauptunterschied ist, daß das DF03 ein Buggy-Chassis ist. Das DF03Ra wurde durch andere Querlenker an die Maße der 1/10er Tourenwagen angepasst. Somit passen auch die standart 1/10er Karossen mit 257mm Radstand und 190mm Breite. Es liegen dem DF03Ra auch Qnoch Querlenker für den 251mm Radstand bei, um kürzere Karossen verwenden zu können.

Als Motoren kannst Du die 540er Baugröße benutzen. Größere Motoren werden wahrscheinlich nicht reinpassen, ist ziemlich eng.

they go around 40-45 kph with the present setup. they are not stock for the escs and motors are replaced by brushless sets.  there were some minor chassis modifications made as well.

the batteries are LRP 6-cell stickpacks with 3300 and 3600 mAh. the body shells are from carson (audi) and tamiya (subaru) you can get them at any carson/tamiya dealer, though the audi became quite rare

It´s a DMC legal class brushless motor. I picked it because it has enough power but is also balanced and controlable. With 9,5 turns I wouldn´t call it a high performance motor. But it has reliable quality and is used for some races. Take a look at my "Hamecke Ring" Videos to see track action.

thanks. tops speed is about 40-45 kph for good balanced handling. the electric motor is used for acceleration and braking. the speed controller sets a magnetic field in the motor that can be used for braking. no additional mechanical brakes.
