I'm thinking of pitching this play to my university drama society for next semester. I have a few things I would like to know about it before I pursue my interest further:
1. How "American" is the play? (I attend a university in England and the society mostly contains other English people). Would English people get a lot of the humour?
2. Are there any sophisticated set changes required?
3. Do you know roughly how much it cost to stage this?
Your school seems to have a shortage of men. When I was in school we did this show as well and had to change the sex of krojack, Kilroy and the chef :) We also got rid of the guard. I like your set.
Actually, it's a larger school out in West Omaha. This is our spring play, in which we use a different room and build the entire stage from the ground up. Otherwise, we would use our auditorium.
ohhh, really? that's interesting. that must be a lot of work!
i figured you went to a smaller school because you seem to be the only person on this stage with a good amount of acting talent (no offense to your fellow cast).
we actually just finally had callbacks today. i think i'm going to get Krojack, if anything. he and drobney were the only two characters i had really planned anything out for, but i wasn't called up to audition for drobney (i dont have the look)
Great job! I remember playing Walter Hollander when I was in school too! (Many years ago!)...I noticed that the role of father Drobney was changed to a woman though!
we just got finished our last performance of this play last night it went great i was the sultan of bashir

We're doing this play too. Our Kilroy is a girl too.
Do you guys have a shortage of men at your school? Drobney's a girl, the Sultan of Bashir is a girl, Kilroy is a girl, and even the chef's a girl!
Your school got rid of my character! (Novotny-- a guard. Except we changed him to a girl.)
