HIV is probably the most well known along with ebola and influenza. vaccines were created for protection against virual infections only. every vaccine out there gives immuntiy against a virus, not a bacterium.

@TheZepmeister Was his name Mathew Winkler, by any chance ? I remember reading a medical book re. rabies when I was about 12, and I remember reading about an American boy bitten by a bat. I`m sure his name was Mathew Winkler. But it`s a long time ago. And I cannot recall whether or not he actually went post-dromal and developed clinical rabies.

you shouldn't lie about stuiff like this! If you had been bitten by a dog you would have got the vaccine, that's a golden standard in treating a dogbite. Violent behavior does not appear until a few days after you get bitten, so I doubt you acted violently in any ambulance

So, I was the first without the vaccination.

Then many people underwent my treatment and it failed.

A girl in Columbia was cured of rabies last year using my treatment.

And a boy in Brazil (?) was treated after vaccine-failure, but still isn't doing good. But I think he is cured of rabies and battling something else.

She isn't the only rabies survivor. I survived after grabing a baby rabbit in our front yard in ILL. It scratched me and got away. I didn't tell anyone and within a week or so I developed rabies and ended up in the Macon County hospitial. I was 9 years old. People who have survived rabies can donate blood and their antibodies can be passed onto others.
