  • Wow just a bunch of pathetic losers on youtube sporting 20 dollar black belts. you guys obviously don't know about martial spirit or even humility. martial arts is about training oneself to be disciplined in Mind, Body and Spirit. Well I don't really care you guys helped me out. perfect for my project about the idiots of youtube.

  • @sharkfinnigan stfu pussy bjj is for fags I but if you came too my dojo I'll knock you the fuck out

  • @SonnyBoy437 yes thats what all blackbelt wannabes on the internet say. Tough talk, when they know exactly about something which won't happen. yes....and do type in tkd vs bjj... we'll see what happen to you when you meet against BJJ practioners like me. Just for something more to your information. BJJers 90% of them cross train in a art of striking...so you are outstriked...out grounded and you get your pussy pounded out in 99% of all situations.

  • @crazyfuckerguy lol "outstriked". mma clowns and bjj gay tards cant even punch straight. Youre nuts if you think you can "outstrike" other arts. A boxer hits 3 to 4 times harder than you. You just dont know it, dumbass. mma is simply a bit of this and a little bit of that. They are not master of ground, they are not masters of kicks, they are not masters of punching. Against any other art, outside the ring, with no ring rules, you will get owned hard, delusional kid.

  • @Elbottoo have to disagree with you there. I've been participating in, watching and analyzing lots and lots of martial arts fights, including mma fights. In the beginning of MMA (rather the UFC) there were hardly any rules and it was just different styles pitted against each other (i.e. boxer vs bjj). the guys with good groundgame ruled the fights and could not be beaten. So the fighters adapted bit by bit and MMA evolved. While it may be true that specialized arts may have some people who

  • outstrike, outkick or outgrapple .. the guys from MMA if you pit a good MMA fighter against a good fighter of most other arts who just have one aspect of the game these guys will be beaten. Why? Because what happens in MMA is they exploit the weak points of one-dimensional arts. That is how it evolved. If you can only punch or kick, you will get taken down and either be objected to ground and pound or submitted or choked out, ... If you can only grapple, well, a MMA fighter knows how to defend

  • takedowns and submissions, and what he knows and is used to what the other guy isnt is punching, ellbowing and kneeing from the upper or lower position.

Again, itt is a sport that has evolved from pitting different martial artists against each other, and they had to put away with their wrong pride and learn more than their chosen art offered to be able to stand a chance in the octagon. Watch the first 30 UFC events and you will see for yourself....

  • @Wu8Wei Son, mma is entertainment in the same sense as The Simpsons. Its a fking tvshow and if you think thats what real fighting is all about, youre 12 years old, moron.

  • @Elbottoo So I can safely assume you've never tried it but watched maybe once or twice and, being obviously homophobic, decided that it's no "real" fighting for a "real" man. Or you could've just been beaten by a MMA guy and are now deeply frustrated.

You say "real" fighting. No one has ever even mentioned real fighting. What I am saying is that the ruleset and techniques in MMA is the closest that it gets to a "real" fight. If you fight "real" fights you will not be fighting them very long.

  • @Wu8Wei listen mmgay clown, you can try mmgay whenever you want. Just dont tell us about your nightly gayly adventures. Real martial arts is for real men, son. Not gaytards like you. Can kill ya in less than a minute.

  • @Elbottoo 1. "Real" martial arts? Judging by your behaviour your practising nothing coming even close to a martial art. 2. I'm not going to make this about your homophobia. 3. Kill? You make me laugh, you have obviously grasped nothing of what makes a martial art a martial art.

I'm not going to continue arguing with you as you've made it quite clear that it is pointless. Not once have you tried to actually write something that is not insulting or something, anything that may prove your point.

  • @Wu8Wei Yes, REAL martial arts and not SPORTS ENTERTAINMENT like mmGay.

    Stupid boy.

  • 3:40 " Eat Prey Love!'"

    " Eat Prey Love!'

    " Eat Prey Love!'

    LOL

  • just type in tkd vs bjj and watch the results lol, thats all i have to say in response

  • PWNED

  • takwondo is maybee a sport but it is an martial art too

  • I like the fact that when the first match ended, the winner showed great sportsmanship by hugging the other dude. You gotta admire people like that. I think that's the most important thing to have in any competitive sport. It keeps the good vibes between people.

  • so rare to see such great looking technique in youtube videos =)

  • Those guys were fucking scary

  • Where was the KO? Thanks for wasting my precious time fucktard!

  • @Jacob5689

got that. i was looking at it from the end.. my apologies.

  • Comment removed

  • okay honestly, people have to remember that there is a difference between Martial Arts, and Mixed Martial Arts. MMA is a combination of a bunch of shit (ie boxing, bjj, kickboxing, wrestling etc). Martial Arts is TRUE FORM. Some TKD encourage hands down, some don't. It really depends on your instructor and how they train you. Learn about Martial Arts before you go sandbagging it.

  • no matter how cool a knock out is I cant take is seriously with them jumping like that

  • c'mon theyre jumpin around you can easily tackle them in the air!!

  • nooo i was enjoying this please put full clips

  • fuk he can kick fast man. if i was half as good as him ill be happy

  • "I believe that a lot of people should have watched this. "

    Why?

  • there was not a single punch i saw thrown

  • @dasd5561 sorta the idea in taekwondo. It's an Olympic sport bro

  • @MaintainedInsanity but taekwondo means art of the hands of feet. or somewhat close to that

  • @dasd5561 Well I'm not saying Taekwondo doesn't use hands, I mean what kind of martial arts doesn't use any hand motions but it's primary "focus" is the feet or the kicks. Example: Muy Thai emphasizes elbows and knees. Boxing, the fist/punch, etc.

  • @MaintainedInsanity Yeah... true.

  • i whana kick someones ass,

  • damn...they r fast...

  • 3 points kick to head

    2 points kick to body

1 point punch body or head. :)

  • awsome!

  • DEVASTATING KICK!!!

  • he just got knocked the fuck out!!!

  • 0:55 if u listen carfully u can hear him whisper "tatsumaki senpuu kyaku" lol

  • someone know meaning of "KTJ" ? his name is Korean but why I hear Japanese?

  • now, that's some real martial tae kwon do, not like the WTF gaylish thing, long life to PRK

  • wtf headbutt?

  • yea thats why u dont try to block a body kick with ur hands down u use ur arm and elbow lawl

  • It's called "always have one goddamn hand up near enough to your head".

Watching the replay, it seems he thought that this kick was going to the gut. Wise move on the kicker's part.

  • was that popping sound his nose breaking?

  • actually that was the sound of WIN

  • i c so many ppl gets pwned by that kick

  • That was a amazing tornado kick

  • Thats funny when I saw the first match I was thinking of Hworang... then read the description XD I think the guy that did his mo-cap was the one who would stand on one leg alot

  • lol

  • i took taekwondo and it was really really hard cause im not that fast im more of a striker

  • That post made no sense dude...

  • @BuckMuscles Tornado kick is also called a 540 kick. It was the knockout move that the guy used.

  • actually that was only a 360 kick. a 540 is when you land on the same foot that you kicked with...both are refered to as tornado kicks though

  • @yardkyle yea i was gonna say the same thing. although a 540 is only actually a 360 degree spin. the name bothers me every time i do it, but its too late now to change....

  • HURRY UP THIS GAY THING TAKES FOREVER

  • shut the fuck up, you homophobe

  • 0:54

  • Something else I noticed was that when they jump up and down, they can be thrown off balance. If someone is good at timing, they can strike when your jumping up like that, which will throw you off guard pretty much.

  • That is exactly what happens in the style I am in. I am with ATA now, and even though they are money hungry idiots, the style is actually great because the grandmaster that formed the organization stressed the need for punches in sparring so it is more like Sanshou sparring than olympic sparring which can get your face hurt by not blocking.

  • tkd has a lot of flashy moves but they have no defensive techniques.

  • um i dont think u know tkd but in my experience of learning tkd we learned alot more blocks than we did kicking or punchin... but ic where u might get that from lol most matches they dont bother blockin

  • yeah. I dont know tkd. Im a Muay Thai fighter.

  • Tkd is nothing but defense. Their aim is to keep their opponents at a distance with their kicks, and wait for an opening to snipe them out with a powerful one. Tkd invented modern day sparring as we understand it today.

  • @SongoftheRisingSun Well, modern day sparring better learn how to put it's hands for to guard it's face...that was a great kick but it never should have connected. Bouncing aorund with your hands at your side does nothing for your defensive game. Unless you practice Foot-to-Face style. ^_^

  • @TutNStrut if u watched the entire thing somee tried that move agian and was blocked by the others hand

  • @SongoftheRisingSun No, you're wrong. ._. If we sparred I'd hit you with some power right off the bat, the spin kicks, even my instructor says they're useless in a real combat situation, always stick with basics. (Roundhouse, Sidekick, Hook kick, Front Kick; which a good Front kick you can modify it to throw either a Crescent kick, or Axe kick.)

  • @Caveman1213 Yes, you never use spinning or flashy kicks, learned it myself the hard way.

  • @Caveman1213 I agree. Those kicks are the only ones I use now in sparring, though I do pull a few Reverse Sidekicks. Useful when your opponent pulls a spinning move.

  • @SongoftheRisingSun

What do you mean "modern day sparring"?

Who are "we" and how do they "understand" sparring?

Just trying to figure out what you're saying

  • @SongoftheRisingSun TKD is more countering if anything. and its more for competition sparring, demonstration, and self control than for anything else. the reason why they aim for the head is that its worth 2 points rather than 1 if you were to hit the torso

  • @SongoftheRisingSun thats what i take i take tkd and all ths other stuff

  • @SongoftheRisingSun Yah cuz keeping your hands down and chin up in a striking fight is the best defence. TKD is nothing but a bunch of flashy 1 in a million bs moves. OH and modern sparring says not to do ANYTHING TKD does like jumping up and down on both feet LOL, keeping hands down stance wider then a trailer. Get your facts right.

  • @vampx2k7

Modern day TKD is a SPORT that was evolved from the ancient Korean martial art so in a way you can say it's not a martial art(Ancient form of TKD even combines headbutt like in this video), I would hardly call that fighting because it's main goal is to score points not KO someone like MMA. Your arguments are irrelevant.

  • @SongoftheRisingSun You couldn't have been more wrong about your first sentence lol.

  • @SongoftheRisingSun

LOL hell no. Modern day QUALITY sparring has roots in boxing and kickboxing. TKD sparring is awful, which is why they get dominated so badly by skilled kickboxers (Muay Thai, Kyokushin, Sanshou, etc). Out of all striking styles, there has NEVER been a pure TKD fighter who's done well in anything outside of TKD. The style has proven its lack of worth, and is only good to put on a show or beat up unskilled and poorly trained fighters.

The truth - TKD is garbage.

  • @HugoTheSavant ur a yellus layer tkd its a good martial art and u are just yellus. and taekwondo hasnt any roots in some kickboxning or boxning why u lying when u know the truth?

  • In Kung Fu, we are taught to keep our hands up during sparing, which these guys fail at, that is why he got knocked out.

  • It is something that has been lost in TKD, originally it consisted of your whole body including kicks but eventually due to the sport of it, hands slowly got forgotten and unused because it is seen as "Faster" to just use your legs. It is sad really, I practice Kung Fu and TKD and see it would have many good possibilities to keep hands up.

  • I have noticed that too. Just tonight when I was sparring with my classmates, I noticed they rarely ever punched. What I do is get really close to them and start boxing pretty much, because they dont know what to do in that situation. I am trying to get lower belts to start using hands more. It is a shame that hands have been forgotten, they can be very effective. A combination of punches and kicks really works.

  • I'm sorry. I have no respect for karate. The first guy got kicked in the face because he had his hands down. Blocking the face with the arms is not a part of Karate. It also teaches you to strike with the knife-edge of the hand which is flexible and fragile and to strike with the top of your foot which is also flexible and can be easily injuried just like the hand. If you want to practice striking martials arts then study boxing and Muay Tai.

  • This is NOT Karate lol. It's clearly Taekwon-do and the style is ITF.

  • The respect you show externally is a reflection of the respect you have for yourself.

  • a knife hand strike generates a lot more power than a punch, and if i am not mistaken doesn't Muay Thai teach you to use your SHINS as a weapon? Your Shin is by far one the weakest bones in your leg?

  • yea your correct... thats why they kick bannana trees.. to make them stronger

  • Yes but the shin has two bones, just like the forearm, seperately the bones are weak but together they do hurt a lot. Legs kicks to the thighs and ribs do hurt and it doesnt take long to wear do your opponent. Most of the strikes in Muay Tai are based around elbows strikes and knee strikes which some off the strongest points of your body.

  • In Karate a knife hand strike is utilised on an opponent in close range and is aimed generally at a vital point such as the throat. The power needed to momentarily stun or crush a windpipe is very little, you don't see trained martial artists winding up for a knife hand to the throat. Power is generated not by the hand or fist but by the major muscle groups in the body, therefore the more muscle groups you engage in a movement the more dynamite your strike.

  • headbutt at 3:52

  • that was fuckin lovely

  • olla gashi otherwise known as the tornado kick

  • The first knock down looks like a tornado kick. Damn that was powerful. The other dude should have kept his guard up.

  • dang is he bleeding from his eyes?

  • No, it's just his glasses held on by an elastic strap.

  • i wish it was possible to disable commenting for people who don't know anything about taekwon-do and think they know everything

  • Aw I wanted to see how it ended.

  • in ITF thats all the padding you wear we only use foot protectors and gloves sometimes head gear but its rare for an adult.that looked painful!

  • did someone say timber?

  • it sounds like those koreans in the backround are saying " say hello"

  • In what language?

  • Russian. The white guy there is russian. His trainers are giving advices to him in russian.

  • Thank you.

  • nationality is kazakhstan though.

  • of course the north koreans are better in tkd. If they don't win, they get killed.

  • say WHAT!?

  • @Mask23232 Wtf dude thats not true

  • @Mask23232 Idiot!

  • @Mask23232 they get killed? by who? yor mother :D

  • @Mask23232 -----------of course the north koreans are better in tkd. If they don't win, they get killed.--------->I should've seen this 1 coming :P Yeah yea all the killed / coal mines aside, TKD skill is there in both the Korea's but then it's WAAAAY too commercialized as fuck n South Korea to a point where u have punks that don't even do the basic stance right get black belts. That erodes real talent big time.

U don't got this commercialization of sport in DPRK.....

  • @xxxdieselyyy -------2---------->Watching the TKD scene from both the Koreas (Yeah yeah my country is friendly to both) I see that TKD scene in DPRK is more like how boxing used 2 b in Rumble in da Jungle / Thrilla in Manila days.

TKD scene in South Korea LARGELY is commercial like 2010 boxing.

There's some talent around in South Korea OF COURSE there is, but then skill is sort of dampened by uber-commercialization of sports.

  • wicked kick. i wouldnt wanna go 1 one 1 with this dude.

  • ouch shin 2 nose connection iz neva a good thing!! his nose has 2 b broken.

  • ...and north korea for the win!!!

  • that kick was AMAZING

  • lol you should be able to perform it to that level in about 1-2years if you a complete noob =p

  • so ein scheiß!!!!!!!!!!

  • I did that once in my TKD exept you use headgear and the kick is called an Autobahn, you spin bring your right leg up and while it is in the air u use ur left to nail him in the face

  • No an Autobahn is a road in Germany and has nothing to do with Taekwon-do . I'm guessing you had an instructor who wasn't from Korea, probably American. Another McDojo robs you for your hard earned cash.

  • tornado kick is what we call it

  • poped his dome!

  • that boy should've kept his hands up

  • god damn

  • 5 stars

  • sucky

  • That shit gotta hurt

  • can someone please help me understand how a contender can win by knockout and yet there is not supposed to be "excessive use of force" in itf tournament? also i thought itf does not allow strikes with the knee or elbow (unlike muay thai).

  • because you win by default if you're opponent gives up/can't continue.

  • I ran through this video fast--where was the knock out?? I like the head butts! Yhe Rebel Grandmaster

  • It's at 0:55

  • north korea guy waits until the opponent attacks then quick counterattack. good strategy. that way the counterattack guy doesn't have time for defend.

the guy that got kicked in the face is slow. this sport is all about speed. u have got to react fast.

  • i dunno why but a lot of people let there guard down in sparring

  • they have a good sense of range. alot of kicking sparring burns ranges into your body and mind very well. Too a point where you know exactly how far you need to move back. its all basically experience. think of it like mohammad ali he had alot of defenseless stances too.

  • and its not like they are letting their guard down. they put the guards up when they get into range. but most of the time they can just back step.

  • No punching?

  • its worth more points to kick.

  • lol watch more itf punching gets sick in combination with kicks XD!

  • They dont puch.. bcoz it waste time..

    and it has low points

  • Russians GO!!!

  • ROFLMFAO.XD

  • nice video !!! thanks KENJI1TO6 for the uploads !!!

  • Nice, I've seen this before but I didn't know about the Hwarang thing. Thanks.

  • omg!

  • sooo nice =) ITF ROCK
