hi i need help with something is there any other way to get a drake sword without shoting it's tail because i dont wanna go to undead parish anymore if i dont get the drake sword (im outta arrows) or does the dragon come back later?

There is an undead merchant in Undead Burg who sells arrows. Look for a entrance behind some boxes next to two hollow pikemen, close to the Burg bonfire.

You can also try to just bait the dragon on the bridge and hit the tail with a melee weapon.

The game considers Dragons and drakes to be different creatures. The red fire breathing drake is not a dragon.... I guess.

@evilmonkeylords Incorrect. You move faster with less things EQUIPPED. If it's not on your character, it doesn't matter. Look at "equip load" in your status window.

I havnt played this game I was just sort of guessing that it did with references from other games however this isn't like other RPG games... it requires more strategy,skill and timing. You keep complaining about dying all the time, but it's your own fault. You are very slow to react and you constantly try to backstab everything. Also, don't be in such a hurry. You walk right by a lot of areas without exploring them.

At this point you could have easily gotten the drake sword, which has incredible stats for this point in the game(+200 attack). All you need is a bow and about 25 arrows give or take.

When you're on a ladder just slide by pressing circle, it's really helpful :D Oh btw press R1*still on ladder* you attack the upper part of the ladder :P

Great video man informative and funny. what makes it so good is that your emotion is genuine and like me you hate this game but just can't stop playing it i keep just having one more go before bed then 4 hours later i'm still saying one more go i'll keep watching all your videos's keep them up.The only problem i have with playing this is my joypad decided that sometimes i can run and sometimes decides it can't be arsed leaving me with a painful death again and again and again.

Two questions: 1) What does 'humanity' do in this game? 2) Do you lose all your humanity when you die?

@jamesjiao When you get a humanity, it goes in the counter at the top left by your health. Let's call that the "inventory". It'll randomly drop from enemies, or you can get it as an item too. If you spend a humanity to reverse hollowing, you become human. As a human, the more humanity you have in your 'inventory', the higher your loot drop rates will be, as well as curse resist. Also, you can only kindle a fire, summon phantoms, or invade other players while human. Hope that helps.

This is a stupid question, but I'm a newbie so... how do you farm souls? You just stay in an area, kill all the enemies, return to the bonfire and do it all over again? For some reason I never seem to have Req souls to level up anything.

@Percilitor Yes that's how you farm souls. Video 19 shows an easy way to do it for early in the game. If you aren't up to that part though, find an area with enemies that you can kill without too much risk, but who aren't so easy that they aren't dropping enough souls to be worthwhile. This is also how you farm for items. Maybe I should do a "Dark Souls for newbies" video?

I killed the thing in one shot because of some random bug. I shot it in the back from the tower that had the black knight on top, the thing took off, flew through the bridge and vanished, 30 secs later i heard a roar and got 10k souls.

Kina lame since i wanted to kill the thing in a fair fight.

I got a similar buggy win against the goat demon who fell off the fucking wall while trying to charge me.

Sure hope neither the dragon nor the goat guy had any necesarry drops.

i hated the dragon too until i heard u should shoot his tail 15-20 times and get a great weapon eraly in the game. i killed the dragon with a bow from the spot where the gold knight was in the tower . you get 10k souls for killing the dragon!

if you go throu the door in the room under the bridge at 3:50 you can shoot the dragons tail and will give a sword with i think 200 attack on it

i read up the history of dark souls and all dragons in this game (accept for seith the scaleless) have actualy turned undead/lost sanity after their race was wipped out.

@TrueRockNRolla Yeah, I know about this trick. But I already went into the room under the dragon so he flies away and only comes back every other time or something like that. There's another way to do it, if you go to that room, you run out to the bridge, if he comes, run and hide, and if he doesn't just relight the bonfire. It might even be faster, I'm not sure.

The thing is, I have to keep the progress going, so I don't really have time to sit and farm. But I did do a little today.

@HowcastGaming walk back to the middle of the bridge and he comes back then go under the bridge kill the 2 guys, then on the right u see the tail, get like 20 arrows from the vendor aand shoot the tail till u get the drake sword, it does 200 damage, well worth it made my game so much better :)

You can farm those 300 souls on the bridge. Run to the bonfire, enemies respawn, run up to the bridge, dragon breathes fire, 300 souls. Rinse and repeat as much as you want.
