  • Justin Wilson was a much better driver period. AJ was just a kid...Acted and drove like a punk. Now he had skill but had clouded judgment to say the least. Plus the RuSport team had almost all rookie's. My uncle was the Crew Chief for AJ and by no means was my uncle a rookie. He was the led mechanic for Greg Moore and Scott Peruit. RuSport was destine to fail from the beginning really. Based in Denver....while everyone else is based in ChampCar's homeland, no full time sponsors.

  • Because when he was with RuSport, he was the No. 2 driver and was very good in setting-up a car with hs race engineer who was also a rookie like himself. But when he went to Forsythe, he had a race engineer who had a record of turning regular drivers to race winners.

What made him switch to NASCAR was solely dictated by his primary sponsor (Red Bull)... switch racing series' or else we dump you!!! What choice does a driver have when your sponsor puts it to you that way???

  • Who is this loser? Doesn't he drive in NASCAR? I can't seem to remember. Not alot of room in my memory for sell-outs

  • The "loser" you are pertaining to is AJ Allmendinger. And by the way... he has 7-career wins during his brief time in the Champ Car World Series

  • The "non-loser" you are pertaining to only won those because he switched to Forsythe. Then he decided to become a cock monkey and give NASCAR a reacharound. It was good while it lasted, but I guess he'd rather put around cookie cutter ovals with other morons.

  • Forsythe is the reason he is in NASCAR.

Forsythe bolted from the series. Where was he going to go?

  • @InvisibleTeeth

Not quite. Forsythe remained with the series until it folded. It's AJ who chose to leave ChampCar.

Now that IndyCar is unified and moving up, maybe we'll see him back in OW racing? Mixed schedule, engine competition, chassis competition...2012 gonna be sweeeeet!

  • @ColonelTRanchow OK, you're right but Forsythe would'nt work a contract out and Red Bull threw a ton of money at him so he left.

I doubt you'll see him back in open whel unless Richard Petty fields him in the Indy 500. He loves driving the famous 43.

  • What was this from?

  • 2004 Montreal pre-race show broadcast.
