I am just starting with make up. I wonder if I can ever build up my collections with Mac? I know they are very high RAVE but I am new to make up and have not had much experience doing the eye wear looks. Maybe when I am more experience, I can collect. Right now, I shall pass. I just hope they will not run out.

try using poster putty to keep the pans in the palette!

what is inside the palette? is it plastic? you mentioned (in the text) that it is foam? Can it be removed so someone could just glue in the shadows close together to make sure there is no wasted space..?? thanks!

@sonialovesdrew I actually removed the foam part & put it in a MAC palette because the magnet bottom is better. You can easily take out the foam part & glue the shadows right next to each other :]

can u try putting a magnet but cut it so that it balances the e/s out ....or put two pieces one on one corner and the other on the other corner,,,,or,,,,put two magnets on top of eachother so that it will be heavier than the e/s,,,,okay i guess im all out of funny ideas,,,im going to bed,,,,tah=tahhhh!!!

@grapez95 if you pay attention in my video I explain that i MADE the palette. smh doesnt NOT make a "NYX palette" you have to cut the foam from their palette & make them fit the NYX e/s. & I have a link to the EXACT palette I used in the description box. man! I did that. I cut the foam, but mine looks SOO crappy, they're not straight! and the holes i made are too big :( MAN i wish mine looked as neat as yours...

instead of magnets you could buy a tape which has glue on both sides... it works for eyeshadows and its very thin

i know this is off topic but, i use mac eyeshadows and nyx eyeshadows, and my mom recently bought me every eyeshadow elf has.... and i was trying them out and none of thm seem to b as pigmented and as colorful as mac and nyx.

so is it just the eyeshadows or is that how it is for everyone?

like it is just to light no matter how many layers i put of that same eyeshadow, and it wears off after 2 hours so i haveto reapply the eyeshadow.

i dont have this problem with any other product, only elf

@carissa642 try the elf studio line eyeshadows. I own a few & they are just as good as nyx. not quite mac but still pretty good for $3. do you use a base for your shadows? if not you should try, it really makes a difference. i recommend too faced eye shadow insurance :]

I went to the heat depotting method too! I was using Enkore's method and cracked so many shadows that way. I decided to switch after breaking a brand new MAC shadow so badly I had to repress it and ended up losing some product. That was it for me! Nice vid. I need to start collecting NYX singles. Their chrome shadows are gorgeous pressed, and if you use the right pans they fit in the MAC palettes!

if you listen in the video I state that I cut them myself to fit nyx singles. its not advertised as a nyx palette. its a regular circle palette that i cut into squares.

maybe you could try a small dab of hot glue (with hot glue gun)? It can be smooshed flat, and then just pop out if you wanted to re-arrainge the pots? just a thought :)

hey guess what- you can buy magnetic tape at Michaels, it works great. Put a strip in the palette and a strip on the shadow and it works awesome!

Hi...thanks for sharing. You might wanna try putting metal sheet cut outs. You can buy it at Home Depot or Lowe's. Just make sure that the metal sheet is thin. If the NYX tins are metal, it will definitely stick onto it. Btw, would you know the dimensions (length and height) of the palette you got from starsmakeuphaven? Thanks a lot

The NYX pans themselves are just too thick. Nothing will fit under it thats thicker than paper. i've tried using magnets but the strange thing is, it doesnt stick to the NYX pan that well o.O & i know it's not the magnet's because i use the same ones with my depotted MAC & it's fine.

I left my NYX palette at my apartment & I'm currently at my house so I'll let you know what the dimensions are by Monday night k?

Thanks for replying. It seems like nothing works well for the NYX e/s and the empty palette. Maybe the width of the palette is really the problem. You will get to figure it out sometime soon :-) When you have time, hope you can measure the palette.  Thanks again

I am def. going to do the labeling of the palettes! i didnt think of that, its a great idea!!! And I think the nyx palette is so great! I have been wanting to do that..but i need to buy more of the nyx single shadows hehehe, they are awesome! It looks so much better that way! Great Video!!! :-D

TOTALLY WORTH IT! NYX eyeshadows are JUST as pigmented in my opinion. I absolutely love them!!! They're only $2-4. If you ever come across them, get them :]

if it comes with a metal bottom you can take those promotional magnets like the ugly ones by a phone company and cut them up and glue them on the bottom of the pan so they will stay :)

it doesnt have a metal bottom, its all plastic. & pizza hut has been supplying all of my magnets for the last 2 years :P. it just doesnt fit, trust me =\
