the atmosphere wasnt completely absent but there were alot of things that dragged it down. first off there were too many people in the town for you to interact with. i didnt feel alone and\or scared because there was always someone to interact with. also i will never be able to be immersed in a dark atmospheric game when bright pictures of the xbox360's buttons flash on the screen while im fighting something.
Can't wait for the hd collection :)

Pretty good review. SH3 is indeed a must have for anyone that likes a good scare, and not a cheap one. It's too bad the series has fallen so far.
