not at all. coal was always a very valuable ommodity, but after the first defeat of the unions to thatcher, she made the miners work longer shifts for less pay. this made all surrounding coal mines in europe, australia etc make their workers work for longer and for less. and in the end we couldnt compete with the market that we [thatcher] had created.

Quite a powerful poem, made more remarkable by the fact it was written by a child. Had he posted it to Maggie, it would have been a waste of a stamp. The woman was long ago embalmed with ice water and good poetry has no impact upon the heartless.
