I have great reverence for the laws and teachings of Judaism. But I really recommend you folks put your pride down and look into Islam. I have a few friends who were Jewish and now Muslim. It's not much of a chance but a very necessary one. Research the teachings of Islam and see what you conclude. Salam and Shalom fellow people of the book.
baal(the lord)was also known as the roman god jupiter n the greek hercules.why then do americans n jews pray to this ancient pagan god?in a very short time baal worship along with the influence of other pagan religions had completely supplanted obedience to YAHVAHs laws n the revering of HIS MOST HIGH NAME.YAH Himself had much to say ..Jeremiah 7:17,18
@BrooklynNotQueens why do you have to be so nasty?! i hope you realize sir that you are a coward because you hide behind a camera when you commit lashon hara.
@KingOystar there is nothing nasty in that Jewish prayer. since you are clearly a gentile i suggest you consult an actual Jew about what i wrote. sorry if you thought you were Jewish and your mother turned out to be a fine hasidshiksa.
naked!! everyone get naked and mikvah!! naked mikvah fun. skinny dip in the ocean!!! naked!!! naked fun!!! lets get naked and go for a dip!!! naked!!! yeah naked!!! in the nude, dude!! naked!!!
Mikveh is a Hebrew word. The word is mikveh, not mikvah. It is not a word like mitzvah or michyah or milgah but is like mivneh or mikneh or mikreh. The source of the word is in Genesis 1:10. The music on the soundtrack is by Beethoven, originaly for piano, a piece called For Elise.
Actually, I take back my comment in response to breeeegs (from a year ago no less!) I see what he meant I think. The symbolisim and meaning of the Mikveh and Baptisim are worlds apart in their spiritual signifigance and effect (depending on the sect). Still I personally sense some "historcal connection" of some sort since early Christianity is derived from Judaism. Shaloam.
No comparison? Uh, where did Christianity get it's roots? And which version of "baptism" of the many sects of Christendom shall we turn to for understanding it's efficecy? Historically comparison is inevitable IMHO.
A mikvah is a bath house. It is used for spiritual purification. The final step in conversion to Judaism is immersion in a mikvah. After using one you are like a new person starting life again.
What goes on is that a person who wants to become spiritually cleansed gets washed, shampooed and so forth and then walks down the steps into the water of the mikvah. He bends so that he is covered completely by the water three times. And then you can come out and dry off and go home. Going into the waters of the mikvah is a final step in traditional conversion to Judaism. Think of it as similar to baptism.
theproudONE92 "I really recommend you folks put YOUR PRIDE DOWN and look into islam". What an arrogant comment is that?!
What about putting your own pride down?
Everywhere people of all faiths are harrassed by intimidating muslims making up stories to get them into their death cult

Very poor sound quality. The technical/halachic details are completely unheard! Please repost with better sound!

As we Jews say before using a mikva...
ברוך אתה ה' אלוהינו מלך העולם שלא עשני ליובאוויטשערברו
and
ברוך אתה ה' אלוהינו מלך העולם שלא עשני נ נח

The Mikvah is used to purify oneself before holy days, not only for the purposes of conversion

That's a very creepy video. What is going on exacly? It looks like some form of execution chamber.

You see what your brain tells you to see, maybe there is nothing for you to see here.
Zev121 4 years ago
Haha I could see that!! LOL. What a humorous perspective because it's what I would've thought before I started the conversion process.

Jews go into the water which cleanses you physically and spiritually before the sabbath or any other holy day. Really terrifying, I know.
