I feel like starting a support group for people who like this album. This is a great album from Kiss!...and I have been a Kiss fan all my life. Great songs, progressive sound, mature / "hey, look what else we can do" attitude with a non poser / leathery image!

I honestly thought this was a home run, still do.

I can not understand why it got such bad reception. Such a shame they never toured on this one.

Indeed the whole albu was a great concept with soe beautiful songs. Perhaps even ahead of its time! I do how ever agree that perhaps it was the wrong band. However! I feel bands must musically grow in order to save themselves from the forever growing/ changing fans and world as a whole. Another 5 years and it will be elevator music.

Yeah, i love this album too. controversial maybe but certainly in my top 5 kiss albums. never did understand why it didnt sell as much as some of the other albums.

I absolutely love this album! As i do pretty much all of the albums! It's a shame that the band got such a hard time over it. All they were trying to do was progress a little, instead of sitting in a rut. How can that be a bad thing? But, i guess it scared a lot of people, Kiss doing something different. I say top marks to the band for doing it. And i'm so glad they did! As i say - a real fave! This track is simply stunning in it's beauty! So underrated!

I agree in what you say. But you have too understand that fans didn't recognize their beloved band in this album. But i am sure that all thoose fans changed their mind about this album. Just like i did !! Even if it took me 20 years hehe.

in the early 80's I was an avid fan (first concert I ever went to)

I Never had a copy of the album until my brother who was in the Navy at the time sent me one from Japan. May have been a "bible belt" thing, I just don,t know. Never saw it in ANY of the music stores in my region.
