  • micheal phelps much??

  • He breathes pure o2... anyone can do the same

  • @alzabo777 and im guessing u think anyone can hold for 10 mins 12 secs without o2 like he has done?

  • it s not a real record

stef mifsud is the reel recordman

  • His record is 17 mins and 19 seconds, his was a wolrd record a year ago but i dont know if its been beaten yet

  • @888Xenon Yea, now his record is 17 mins 28 seconds

  • coolerthanuleverb actually some hundred years back there were a few yogis(hard core form practitioners of yoga) who could stop their beating heart and spend days under water in himalayan region.

point is everything is possible but it needs years of practice and will power and dedication.

  • Lol very Retro! His record is done one pure oxygen isn't it?

  • I believe he holds both records. (Pure Oxy and Normal Air.)

  • Despite your silence.. your wishes for luck came true..

Tom Sietas has won the Sh. Fazza competition and won the 2008 Range Rover..!! I just dropped him off to the airport.. His smile is so big, his ears are about to fly off..

    He did 8:24.59 seconds.. :D:D:D

    CONGRATULATIONS TOM..!!!

  • Aside from his amazing records, breath hold and great physical abilities, Tom is a genuinely great guy and a good friend..

He's atking part in the breath hold competition being held in Dubai on the 3rd April '08 amoongst other International divers, competing without a wetsuit, a mask, weightbelt or fins..

    Wish him luck guys..!! :)

  • this is the best freediver in the world i think :D

  • the new record is 15 min. and 2 sec.=15,02

    tom sietas

  • I met him in egypt, at the DIVEIN dahab 2003 - at this time his record was i guess like 9miutes.

by the way the most common risk at free diving is "shallow water black out" but other wise you dont get any nitrogen bubles nor deco problems since you hold your breath

  • his record is 14 minutes and 12 seconds

    WOW!!!!!1

  • I wish were a youtube link to his world record stunt(s). But anyway, incredible. I wonder if it is safe for him to shoot up to the surface so fast though?

  • The altitude increase and pressure decrease can sometimes have negative effect positively and negatively. On swimmer passed out because he was going up so fast. He nearly died.

  • Wow!
