  • I've seen Rita at least 20 times in hockey arenas with 8000 people, theatres with 2000 and church halls with 200 people and this song touches everyone in its own way...thanks for sharing...

  • I took my son to Nova Scotia for a month when he turned 9 years old. Nova Scotians all the way from Ingonish Cape Breton down to Yarmouth and inbetween are the some of the nicest, kindest, and best people I have ever met. Wonderful part of the world. We're from the USA.

  • @jdlewis60 I spent 6 months in Nova Scotia in the early 80s ... and I completely agree with you. Great people ...

  • @kletkeman best cooks of seafood in the world. OMG unreal.

  • These are all actual mine workers who make this magic on stage, and I had the rare privilege of seeing one of their concerts. By the end of this song I was totally in tears. They are just amazing. They tell of a way of life that is back-breaking, but still, a necessity, and they all have a quiet pride about them when they perform and tell their stories, both funny and heartfelt. They make me so very proud to be Nova Scotian.

  • This one's for Bampa 07/07/1926 - 26/03/2011. But Not Forgoten. Youre aleways in my mind.

and the rest of the minening community of South Wales.
