  • Honey I've been farting again

    Honey I've been farting again

    Fart fart fart farting again

    Fart fart fart farting again

  • Magnificent

  • Beautiful!!! I've played this song at least once every week since I first bought Wilder the week it was released. Has anybody noticed a resemblance between the White Lies vocalist and Mr Cope's? Their first album really reminds me of the Teardrops at their best

  • Wow, I now remember how TeardDrop Explode were (are) such a great band. Thanks a lot for the upload, and remember us

  • Im only concerned with looking concerned...

  • Cope reminds me somewhat of Luca . Check out SUMO and the track Don't Turn Blue. Would you agree?

  • What a brilliant song. I only wish someone could post the live version from the BBC I once heard. It was a totally different arrangement but just as excellent.

  • This song was spot on for me, first seen on OGWT when I was 16. Even had clever friends to discuss the lyrics. The TX were so good, could not understand why they stopped releasing music and then split

  • Wonderful despair

  • great memories listening to this track in my bedroom aged about 15 ;) Cheers for posting.

  • Beautiful song; God it been years since I heard this back in the 80s. Brilliant. Thanks for adding the lyrics.

  • interesting

  • This song was beyond me at the age of 21 but now that I find myself at the age of 50 it all makes perfect sense...

  • @Cornbreadhunter My words exactly! And it still sends shivers down my spine - one of the top 50 greatest songs!

  • excellent track

    thanks for upping

  • you're welcome

  • I'm still stuck in this pickle jar

    On a paper carpet.

    Fight, Fight, Fight, Fighting again.

But now my expression is changing...

  • great song!

shame that scott walker never cover this!

  • The conscious mind is never as creative as the unconscious mind applied to a task.

  • can someone send me lyrics please....?

I've looked on the internet but can't find it anywhere..and english is not my native language.

  • I've added them to the info at the side

  • beautiful... thank you so much :)

  • Bless You And Thank You So Much For Posting - Profound and Prosaic...

  • dognight ..not sure what track your on about !

  • Oh what a delicious song. I haven't heard it for years and it still stirs me now as it did back then. Thank you posting. xxxx

  • jonahstevenson..respect for being a copey fan,but this track the great dominions was from wilder. and the cover your showing is from an ep you disapear from veiw ,also a good poppy track that should have gone further in the charts.but it also has the best track the teardrops did suffocate ,i had it on 12 inch vinyl, the strings on it awsome....thanks for posting.

  • I know it's from Wilder, It says at the side. I just felt like using that picture. it doesn't really matter.

  • jules - seeing as u have an eye for detail - u may like to know there are no strings on suffocate - thatd be a synth !!

  • too right my friend .but it was the 12 inch vinyl i had ep. obv you aint heard it .good god my friend hope ime right ! let me know because ive died a hundred times listening to this. what an ep..

  • Actually the 12" has the " Boroque Version". Very different, and it does have strings.

  • Im only 16 years old (born in 1993) but this is awesome! Why don't they make songs like this anymore? :(

  • @sandeyboy you'll get used to it. i'm in the same year group as you (probably), and I'm mad for the levellers, new model army, pink floyd etc etc. but it's nice to know your not the only one in that position :)

  • Nothing to add to what has been said, really. Just happy to hear this song again and agree with it being my all time favorite Teardrops song. Thanks for putting it up.

  • I haven't heard this in years.

    Such a flood of memories.

    Such a deep song, too,

    I LOVE Julian Cope.

Thanks for posting this wonderful song.

  • Ah, you're welcome. I love Copey too. I still need to put up Safesurfer from Peggy Suicide.

  • Yeah, he is truly gifted, but Peggy Suicide? I'm afraid you've got me stumped there, brother. Please, i have to hear it now. I thought i had heard everything, but no!

(Laughing) You had to go and burst my bubble!

  • He's done a lot of stuff. Already posted it earlier today, in fact. Check my videos.

  • I remember a jaw dropping moment

sitting at Hammy Odeon upstairs probably 1982/3??

They played this on stage and it was phenomenal.

Cannot get my head around Cope now though.

  • cheers mate, was gonna upload this. my all time favourite Teardrop song.

  • Wonderful song. Possibly my favourite by The Teardrop Explodes.

  • yeah, isn't it. couldn't believe it wasn't on here already. i'm only concerned with looking concerned.
