  • hello,

im wondering if it is true that the opposite hand is dominant for the 2 handed backhand. im a right handed player and all the coaches tell me to use my left hand more. i talked to the bryan brothers and they told me that is not true. the top players dont really do that. is this true?

    thanks

  • That is drill ???

  • lol

  • nice drill, two questions: 1) Who feeds? A coach? Or the player who is running to hit the first crosscourt shot of teh new point? 2) Are there 3 players on each side? How many players do you usually use in this setup.

Thanks!! Keep up the good work!!

  • you have to know the culture of your clientele. some places I've worked at, it's okay if the players feed, and we are active coaches in the back--giving pointers to the kids BUT some people--don't like that, and want to see a coach feeding. It is easier initially if the coach feeds. it is really good with 6. 8 is pushing it--too slow. 4 is impossible :D

  • *To make this drill much easier for the students i feed a long distance diagonal cross court feed onto their forehand. Beginners find running onto a down the line feed AND changing direction of the ball trajectory pretty tricky so you don't get so many rallies if you run the drill as suggested by the coach in the video.
