That awesome vocalist is Max Carl. Man, that is a dominant vocal track on that one! Effortless. He just belts it out on key with steady resonance. No crazy facial expressions. Come on back Max, anytime.
excelente interpretacion si yo no hubiera visto el video diria que no es .38 special,no se como se lllama el vocalista alguien sabe. no tiene esa agrupacion otra balada softrock similar.
Sorry..This isn't .38 Special...After their 3rd album they dissapeared. Some of the guys that used to be in the real .38 Special, got a lame replacement singer, and formed this weak assed band and re-named it .38 Special.
MUTHERFUCKER read the copyright and if you canrt dig it AND the MUSIC then FUCK OFF!! Evolution of a band. Time marches on ...sorry if ya cant handle it
Max Carl wrote and sang this with 38 Special. He is now touring with Grand Funk Railroad. They have currently included it on their set list. Mark Farner is not with them and Max fills in admirably.
(sigh), this brings back sooooo many memories. Just hearing this song, brings back tears. Such a beautiful song, thinking about that special someone wanting to win back the love one. Love, Love, Love this song.
i didnt realize this was 38 special, well at least not that i remember but i do know this, its an awesome song, way better than it was when i heard it long ago,but thats because i can appreciate good music now...it WAS a bit adrift for 38 special but a much needed ballad....gr8 song!
Brings back such memories. I would get so depressed when I heard this song when I was a kid, but would listen to it over an over again. Thanks for the memories
I just saw them in concert last week. The normal lead singer, Don Barnes, can still really sing and play guitar. I rate him a perfect 10 in all honesty. Unfortunately, the original lead singer and keyboardist for this song, Max Carl, is now with Grand Funk Railroad. The new keyboardist sings lead on this song, and quite frankly sucks compared to Max.
I heard this song nearly twenty years ago and, although I did not know it at the time, it was being burned into my being; you see 5 years later my grandmother died and 3 yrs. after that my dad died too, on the same day and this song was able to assist me with my grieving in a healthy way!
I find it odd that a Van Zant brother would do a song like that. Even Johnny or Ronnie wouldn't record something like this, not even Freebird was like that. But I guess Donnie kinda fit in to this.
Esta cancion se la voy a tocar a la estupida que despues de muchos anos todavia anda buscando me a mi porque mi hombre no le hace caso. Bahahahahaahaha!
Many hard core Southern Rockers will disagree, but I think this is one of the best. It was written by Jeff Carlisi, Cal Curtis & Max Carl back in 1988, and it still gets a good amount of airplay. It's just a well done song even if it's not "Rockin' into the Night".
awesome vocal

enddogmanow 3 years ago 2
Actually, that's a very cliched way of ending a song, by raising the key of the song by a semi-tone. Been done to death: Penny Lane, etc. etc. etc.

You sure that wasn't just an octave change?

well 2 guys were lead singers they took turns, and the long haird man was i belive jonny van zant
