hi doctor i have black thick hairs in my chin it started when i was 16 i started plucking my chin hair and it came back darker darker and darker and thicker i dont know what to do help?
@littleangel623 The first thing that I would encourage you to do is to see your doctor about this, since it may reflect a hormonal imbalance that can have an effect much wider than just the facial hair. That's the most important thing. Then, as far as the frustration with the hair, it could be worth trying Reductase-5 to diminish the appearance problem.
I am 23 and have absolutely no problems with my hormone levels and I get about 10 thick black hairs over my chin that I have to pluck out. I also have to wax the sides of my face because I get fine but dark hairs grow there and my upper lip is really bad. The doctors have done blood tests and don't know why it is. My menstrual cycle seems to make it worse. I find that whenever new hairs do appear I am near my period or ovulating. I don't get why it happens. I also fight cystic pimples.
@RainyDayGirlx Your sense that this is related to your hormone fluctuations is probably correct. Still, it's not an easy thing to draw blood and immediately identify just what it is that's happening. It could well be that your genes make you more responsive on your face the same hormone fluctuations that others have - but for you it causes the hair problem.

hi doctor,
Is it true if you u pluck the facial hair they will affect the other side of the face that doesn't grow hair and grows every where on the face?

@sam45ism I know of no research that demonstrates that effect. It's almost certainly an urban myth.
