At this point in your LP "career", I really don't think the release date of a game itself, such as Super Meat Boy, should dissuade you from LPing a game you want to do. You've seemed to put Something Awful and their guidelines of LPing behind you so I don't think release date should matter. You play mario hacks that are similar to each other and yet people continue to subscribe to you, so I think that when people watch your videos, they are coming for you first and foremost not for the game.

I think the thing you were told to do for getting past the arrow traps was to bring out a bomb and stand on the very edge so you wobble causing you to drop the bomb over the edge setting the arrow off then you can safely jump down and pick your bomb back up.

I think the only thing rao, that would really stop you from doing Super Meat Boy at all is Steam. Although then again I'm not so sure what your views are on the service or not.

Plus it has Captain Viridian and Runman as unlockable characters, so you have no excuse not to do three playthroughs of the game :D

(ran of out of characters, continuing from last post) teetering over a ledge causes you to drop your item, as you lose your balance, and with bombs or ropes, you can pick them up and cycle them through your inventory to get them back.

That space was too narrow for the fliphanging tiki statue arrow thingy, it rebounded off of the wall and hit you in the back. I'm not sure what the exact number of spaces is, but 4-6 is a good estimate.

Also, a way that's almost impossible to get by is to use the inventory swap button and get a bomb or rope out, and teeter on the ledge. The item will drop, setting off the arrows, and you can drop down and pick it back up because you didn't technically activate it. (this works with all items)

With the arrow traps, you can equip your rope or bomb, then walk to the edge until you are all like "Oh man, I'm going to fall", this will make you drop your bomb/rope, triggering the trap, and allowing you to pick up your bomb/rope again.
