not even a single deiti in buddhism is destined to be worshipped. dalai lama is an idiot. he right now should say that shugden is like any other deity, a enlighted protector. and the ban will be over and more and more people will experience ''obstacles'' :)) in their daily practice, so they will edventually abandon him. :)) that is a skillfull mean. maybe he is not dalai lama afterall.

respectfully i tell you that if HH Dalai Lama did not ban the deity, maybe only 20 percent of the people practicing him today were actually practicing him. it was also dalai lama s mistake. tot that shugden s a demon, but when you ban something for example sex, you provoke the minds of the people. shugden anyways is not to be worshipped. he represents a form of meditation.

With the ban on Dorje Shugden, there are already so many attendants at the ceremony, I can only imagine how many more attendants there would have been should there not be a band! There is a video "Ganden Monastery had a strong practice of Dorje Shugden 1985", we can evidently witness that Dorje Shugden is a core practice in the Gelugpa tradition.

if Dorje Shugden is a minor deity, why is there so much uproar? Why did Shar Gaden and Serpom Monasteries manifest? Why were there thousands of people protesting all over the world? Why would the Dalai Lama even ban this deity if the deity is so minor?

Dorje Shugden is definitely not a minor deity because he is widely practice and propagated before. He is a relatively new deity to be added onto the pantheon of Dharma protectors. It is because of this deity, the Tibetan Buddhist world is torn apart, monasteries split and this deity is the principle deity propitiated by the thousand over Buddhist gargantuan organisation NKT. He doesn't sound minor to me.

I am happy to see monasteries flourishing! May more monasteries such as these be built, spreading the buddha dharma everywhere. The time for Dorje Shugden to arise is here already as the main Protector of the Tsongkhapa's lineage as written by the previous HH Trijang Rinpoche.

Dharmapala Dorje Shugden has been practiced for the past 350 yrs. Similar to many political institution throughout history, there will always be this or that agenda. And we can only hope that the political movement is sincere in watching out for the welfare of the people
