@ksb188 - A hunter kills animals in order to eat them. Implicit within the word "hunter" is the idea of survival. Snares are a far better way to catch rabbits in a survival setting as they leave you free to conduct other activities. Hunting as you describe it, to me at least, is killing rabbits for the thrill of killing them. Which is not so much hunting as it is sport.

nice idea, fucking rabbits dont want to make trails where im from so im gonna make a fence and some spots where they can run through.of course i'll have snare in those spots.
@Rawrk92 all he did was attach his snares to small stakes, like thin solid stiff wire, these are to hold the snare up. then you trail a piece of tough cord, like paracord, from the snare holding stake to a larger tent stake, like the cheap plastic ones, those are the best for this, this one is for keeping the snare in place so the rabbit can't run away with the snare.
@Rawrk92 I've also used 12" nail spikes for the burying stake and 5" for the snare holding one, works great, about a $3 set up and only takes a second to put together.
he should finnish them off quickly. use a spear or knife, axe, etc. do the job properly to reduce suffering. this gives hunting for food a bad rep i think

I hunt rabbit at my cousins ranch with an air rifle,one time i had a rabbit scream just like the one in the video cuz i shot him in the stomach,was about 75 yards out and my scope was'nt zeroed exactly i was aiming for chest

in areas where there are lots of rabbits, sometimes close to their burrows and along hedgerows etc, you can see the grass has been flattened and almost worn if you look closely. Set snares along them!
