Haha this is just like me and my friends playin this song. We can never remember all the verses and just kinda pull them out of nowhere haha. But i LOVE this song. Definitely one of my favorites to sing. And I love how she does it here
WOW , THATS some hardcore jammin ,if i never did see one! ..
awesome energy! :) I love her lead and harmony ,shes just awesome .. and Buddys gettin right into that mando aint he?.. thats amazing, :) ! Lovvee the vid.
Danielle is in a band now, called Hardline Drive. You can find them on myspace. They have a new cd out. This was a gathering of friendly strangers, they didn't know one another. It was in Nashville 2007, SPBGMA
tony and jimmy are both great in their own rights...I don't think it's possible to listen to too much Tony Rice...personally I'm not a big fan of Jimmy Martin...but that's just my opinion...don't like his voice that much but I love Tony's...and he's a way better musician then Jimmy in my opinion although he did have some greats in his band like Crowe for example
I am the one playing guitar and singing with Danielle. She is a great singer, and I enjoyed doing this song with her. It was one of the highlights of that year's SPBGMA for me. Keep pickin' D. Ya'll have a good year. Benji, Last Road Bluegrass
I keep coming back to this video. Your two voices really compliment eachother. I looked up hardline drive, do you sing this song with your band? Chris.
that wasnt aubrey haney by the way...thats a good friend of mine...lol and most of u seem to be forgetting this was just a jam...not like we are a band..lol and dont worry mar10guitar i wouldnt ever sing this song in the band i am...o wait we do...and its our most requested song!
yeah you're right that isnt aubrey i noticed that when i watched it again, but if nine pound hammer is your most requested song, you guys need some new material. i wasnt meaning to bash you, you're an awsome mandolin player and your vocals are good, i've just never been a fan of women singing men songs. that'd be like me singing about how tough it is to give birth to a child. keep it up though.
The folks in this circle just met, except for the guy on the mando, he' met Danielle the day prior I believe. But the rest of them, your seeing it, meeting right there, right then and finding a song. Now that's amazing isn't it?
no not really, its called a jam, just like you've titled it. people do this frequently and this is one of the most often used songs for a jam. everyone and their momma knows nine pound hammer. you must be a big fan, or relative, or something to be so sensative about this video. Its just a bunch of good musicians jamming at the SPBGMA's, some people are gonna like her singing and some not. You guys should both take the good with the bad and not respond to everyone's negativity.
great vocals.... haha i love singing too. i havent quite made it to SPBGMA yet. i want to go though. & haha i wish i could play mando like you. :) Your Great!
WOW i have been gone to long, makes me home sick, i have saved this one to my favs. i do go every 2 weeks to a place here in fl that plays all blugrass and Country sitin' style play a while then pick up walk around and find someone else to play with, i used to play all the time with ,my Uncles in McDowell Cty,
A little fast but a jam is a jam. Lots of fun. Excitement flows.

i love how in bluegrass a bunch of strangers can jam together and it sounds better than a long produced song by a real band.

You two sounded great together, it's one of my highlights too! It was just a fun time. Sent the fiddler by himself this year, and missed all the fun.
