Actually, he's called Rimblemenji and he isn't really a Devil. He's arguably more advanced than they are, actually, since he's a Reaverbot of the future. But he's the Devils' spiritual successor, and functions using similar technology.

just beat the game today, I got the pattern down pat but dangit I didn't know that BHB was its weakness... and when you're chipping one,two health pixel at a time your concentration will start to really deteriorate later on :P

Y'know, you can get multiple BHB's into one running of the eye? I'm even wondering if it's possible to do all 5 shots within one transplant. Of course, I'm not good enough to do it.

Yes. Of course, you can get 2 without pausing by setting up the first extremely early, but that isn't as nifty.

Yeah. After five green bits move out (if it's inside the green, say) then the sixth movement is the eye. You shoot a black hole right before the eye starts moving and it'll get hit. Pause. Turn around and shoot one straight away and activate it. That's how you get it twice. It's possible to get him three times though actually. See Soultrigger's Mr Perfect and you'll get what I'm talking about.

that's so cool! They have the yellow and green ones back, in new forms. The sprites seem rather nice for this game though. This is epic, I wish this was in higher-bits!
