Shamrock is underrated as a pro-wrestler IMO. Great to see such a huge man pull out Hurricanranas. His gimmick may have been simple but when he "snapped" you could help but believe it - the guy was legit.

It should've been shamrock and owen hart and michaels carrying the company into the new millenium. Alas :(

@PortsmouthNoir I didn't say there were no injuries. If you think MMA is easier, just ask Brock Lesnar...lol. MMA fighters are the best trained athletes in the world. You might have a point about professional wrestlers having a higher injury statistic. I attribute that to the refs doing their job to protect the fighters in MMA. Hell, professional wrestling has a higher death statistic than any industry I think. Comparing it to other sports is like apples and oranges though.

@Lionheart218 Shamrock did not deserve the world title, he was very limited in the ring and could only work well with the likes of Bret, HBK, and Rocky, and Owen, who all made Shamrock look great. Otherwise, he was very stiff and robotic. Not to mention his mic work was real bad. He was in great shape, very durable, and intelligent and no doubt made a nice career for himself during his stint, but there's no way him with the title would have been a long-lasting or memorable reign.
