May I suggest, google, alain decadenet xj13. Hit the first site (YouTube vid) I'll trust Mr. De Cadenet's word over all you "experts". Beautiful machine though. At least we all agree on that :)
I have got a very good hint for you to keeping the nice old Engine in good shape with todays ultra dry eco fuels: Use 1:100 API TC two stroke oil / fuel mix as regular driving fuel, that keeps the old fuel-system gaskets, rubber parts, alloy parts etc... and cast iron metal surfaces of those vintage engines in excellent shape...and it also lubricates the valves and upper piston regions. Most Porsche vintage owners in Germany do so :) Also keeps carbs and tank clean and rustfree!
@lewis72 no,they built as many as the miura, this was a production line car, the first prototype was made in resin, they shaped the body with wire,then added matting tissue to the shape,all done by hand of coarse, the rest were then made in hand rolled titanium to make it extra light, a total of 2572 were produced, so this one could be the resin one as you mentioned only 1,correct me if im wrong.
The engine might be a v12 but only came as a 2.3ltr
Nope. I'm standing my ground on this one. There is only 1 XJ13. It had a 5.0l 48v V12. You must be confusing it with a kit car or something. Do a Google search on Jaguar XJ13 and you'll see.
@knutfheifer They made only one, it never raced because the program got canceled, and it crashed once. But it has been restored. Its not a production car, never intended for production.
@itchytriggerfingers and you! don't be so cheeky! puff! you need to learn manners on here,you naughty mother of sparks of a firecracker and buttered breadsticks.

I think the XJ13 might be the greatest looking car I have ever seen, even outdoing a Miura SV. It's a pity that only 1 was ever made.

this car is made from resin moulds for the high production market, 2572 were sold and it can pelt from 0-60mph in 13.3 seconds

@knutfheifer
Err, I think they built just 1 and that had a quad-cam 48 valve V12 in it.

how can you have a review of a car that doesnt exist? that one is the ONLY one.

I suggest you read up a bit more on the history of this car before you comment. The car in this vid is most likely the same one in my vid.
