  • In which year was this?

  • Best song off of Hell Bent for Leather.

  • Gonna miss you on stage KK

  • i love judas fucking priest maybe my favorite heavy metal band of all times just like maiden

  • I don't know how many of you have realized that, even the background riffs from 0:33 to 0:38 sounds alike Prowler by maiden. ( Listen to it carefully.)

I mean prowler riffs sound like those of priest's. :D

P.S. - I am not saying Maiden copied it, but that shows how Maiden is influenced by Priest. :)

    Hail metal \m/

  • HE NO ROB HALFORD? AND THERE WILL NEVER BE A REPLACEMENT. NO ONE CAN EVER DO THE JOB LIKE ROB THE METAL GOOOOOOOOOOD!

  • Rock'n Rolf built a whole band and a career on the name of this song :) that's what I call respect! \m/

  • fuck they have to play it in a different key for this dude

  • Owens is greath,Halford is asshole

  • @mocny1000 cunt

  • LONG LIVE THE BRITISH METAL SCENE WITH SAXON, IRON MAIDEN, JUDAS PRIEST PIONEERS A FUN FROM GREECE

  • Hell yeah! tank you for posting this! Ripper owns live!!!!

  • there's the essence of the true heavy metal inside this song. awesome, EVEN with Ripper. I m fed up with too mythoman heavies. Rippes is also a good singer. not Rob but a good singer

  • Awesome song. Quite nicely done mang.

  • I only ever saw Rob Halford, and missed the Owens years to be fair he looks a star turn, what else has he done anybody know...

  • The thing with ripper is, he is a very talented singer, but since he was vocalist for Judas Priest, he is compared with Halford, whom he doesn´t stand a chance against, but then again, who does.

  • some old priest songs when ripper is singing are pretty awesome but he cant even compete in the same league as halforfd. an example for good priest song in rippers version is living after midnight. the way they played it in this concert was better than original. im not really a fan of the song living after midnight

  • This was the best song, in my opinion, on one of their better albums. Ripper's not bad on this one. What's amazing is he seemed to completely take over the band. They sound totally different on the CD's with Owens.

  • I think maybe the band just wanted to take a different direction, Ripper didn't necessarily change the band. If u notice JP always keeps changing styles; Turbo being an excellent example of a drastic change.

  • GOOD FOR RIPPER. NICE PERMORMANCE.

  • Fucking Love this version of the Song!!!

  • I like this "ripped" version. I like Owens. But he have no fire and energy on stage.

  • nor does halford

  • Epic song. Closest to Rob Halford as you can get. God Bless you Ripper Owens! The Metallians across the world wept when Halford left Priest, but you made the transition much easier. Hell Bent Forever!

  • I've been a Priest disciple since seeing them in the UK in 1974/1975, Ripper fitted the bill when Rob threw his dummy out of the pram! I didn't hear of anyone else banging the door down wanting to take over Rob's shoes either! Priest are a group, NOT ONE man. I personally loved Jugulator, not so much Demolition, conversely Angel, Rob's comeback, was weak IMO. Nostradamus is better BUT I want the next to be "back to basics", Defenders, Stained Class or Painkiller styles please! Roll on Sheffield

  • There most likely wont be a next album

  • Ripper was a damn good singer for Priest, but live they downtuned everything and made it sound like shit.

  • 1:51 lol

  • WTF?

  • I'm sorry I don't get it.

  • They thought Ripper fitted the bill very well and there was a VERY small queue for the auditions, surprise, surprise! Rob still cuts the mustard live, just, but the tones and style that made him the best in the business IMO are sadly gone. I SAW them at Brixton, Ripper SUNG well and actually bettered some of Rob's stuff but had no real presence at all. Even though IMO I think Maiden's music is weak compared to Priest, Dickinson is still pure class and makes it look effortless.

  • Awesome as always... Tim Owens!

    \m/

  • If it hasnt got rob halford it isnt judas priest simple

  • its sound 200 times better in unleashed in the east

  • I couldn't agree more! This song makes the hair stand on my neck,on unleashed!

  • I think Iron Maiden took this riff for their song The Wickerman.

  • and you're not the only one who thinks this

  • Lol, you should see the face of a friend of mine, big Maiden fan, when he first listened to that song!

You are right, they borrowed that riff, changed it a bit and released Wickerman.

Still, both songs are great, no love lost!

  • Every single Maiden fan should here this song! I thought I was the only one seeing the similarities. ;) PRIEST IN MY HEART!

  • ja lods of ppl think so, but they only took the 3 first chords, anyways judas aint judas without rob halford

  • @jms980 I always said that .. Both Bands kick major ass

  • kk downing is the god of the whammy bar.

  • Damn, these dudes jell. Fucking tight, tight tight! A well tuned machine with all cylinders firing.

  • mn455cutlass,you couldn't describe it better!I'd say Judas Priest is like a V12 Ferrari SCREAMIN on her rev redline!!!Such a Legendary Band...!

  • Halford is more Priest than Tim Owens, and a better vocalist too, even if Owens maybe have a better vocal-range now than Halford, cause of his age.. But anyway, Ripper really kicked ass here..
