The funny thing is that just about 30 seconds after that, a voice came over the PA system saying "Please do not hit the video board!" - crowd booed 'the voice'. They were nervous - this was the first sporting event to be held at the Death Star (new Cowboys stadium) - they hadn't played an NFL game yet. Good times. Chelsea Rocks.

I'm so disapointed at the behavior of the players and the fans. If they would only know the value of that screen! I mean, it's not only the cost, but the pride for all Texans. That is the largest HD screen in the world and just to come and mess like that! they should be all sued! It's very disgracefull!

you know, the heck with it. I just realized that the TV has a hughe insurance policy! so if it gets damage it can get repaired. It's just the childish act, you are told not to do something and then you do it just for the fun of it. Very unprofessional.

Actually, they weren't told not to hit it until the intercom came on and told them not to, then they stopped. If it's a question of being professional, both John Terry and Frank Lampard came out before the training session, so it was off hours ;)

this video doesn't show all what took place...yes, he is correct, they came out early a few before the rest of the team, and then after the kick happen, yes, they were told not to do it anymore... I had to change cards.. so it's not here but there is a link ... and they did comply with it... but hey someone was bound to do it, I think the stadium personel never thought someone was going to do it, and it has happen a second time, this time american football, putter kicked the ball into it.

First, the stadium don't hold 90,000 for a sporting event, most 80,000 (82,000 with standing room). There was a good amount of fans, about 80% sold and that's a lot considering, like you said, not in Dallas though we ran into fans from Canada.

Poorest design. Now the NFL came out with a rule to play a do-over if a punter hits the thing. Whoever came up with the scoreboard idea to be that low should not be designing stadiums anymore.

It cost $140 million. He didn't hit it that hard, and then it was on the bottom. What was really funny, after JT hit it the announcer came on and asked that they stop hitting the screen with the ball. There are two screens, back to back, and they are 1/2 a football field long. The biggest thing I've ever seen. Absolutely beautiful stadium.
