  • You should go on master chef

  • I accidentally made this once! I was making brownies just randomly without a recipe, and I was like "screw it, I'll make cake" and it turned out so much like this. It was AWESOME. I've been looking for a recipe like this for ages, and I'm so glad I found this.

  • Wow! This is perfect for Valentine's day! So scrumptious! thanks again for the great recipe! :)

  • @OriginalNakedChef can the same thing be achieved using a microwave oven with a convection feature. I dont have an oven at home :)

  • @nikhilsrl

I must admit I have never used a microwave with a convection feature so I can't speak from experience. Maybe some one else can answer that one.

If you decide to give it a go anyway, please let me know how it turned out.

    OriginalNakedChef

  • @nikhilsrl I will surely try it and let you know

  • omfg you could put oreos in it

  • @marksbandana

Never tried adding Oroes but it could be nice :)

    OriginalNakedChef

  • Sigh, I miss the little tins of 'Lyle 's Golden Syrup', so tasty. Golden syrup is hard to find here but sometimes I see it in the imports isle at the market. Those are always good day. :)

  • @Heliantheae08

My mum always used to have Lyle's golden syrup in the cupboard and it used to last for ages :)

Next time you find it in the market buy two! That way it will be a really good day!

    OriginalNakedChef

  • Nigella always make me hungry :)

    Happy New Year OriginalnakedChef

  • When does the weed go in?

  • @Kkeenan461

I have never personally added weed but I would say just before you pour the mixture into the cake tin :)

  • @Kkeenan461 actually you have to melt it into the butter first...that aside this recipe is fantastic, especially when you add in some white chocolate chips right at the end gives it a creamy choclatiness!

  • And a merry christmas to you too :)))

Btw I'm making the brownies again tomorrow. Try it with chocolate custard!! Goes well together. If not that then add some melted chocolate to cream and pour on top ;)

    OriginalNakedChef

  • Devemon

In the middle is best as it will cook the whole brownie instead of just half of it also bicarbonate of soda and baking powder are the same.

  • @Brownisbest97

Thanks for answering that for me :)

    Happy Christmas!

    OriginalNakedChef

  • is it baking powder or bicarbonet of soda?

  • @devemon nvm that one where in the oven is best? middle?

  • @chriser555

So I guess I made a bit of a hash of that :))

  • @OriginalNakedChef how did you get your name originalnakedchef

  • @OriginalNakedChef Oh you charming swine.

  • @chriser555 when you melt the butter :) it needs to cook

  • Would I would be able to make it to mini square brownies instead of a cake?

  • @ABIGAILNUTTALL

Certainly you can mini squares. Use the tin you already have and then just chop them into the shape you want.

If you have a square or rectangular tin shape that would be a good start!

The main thing is use a tin that is the right size. In the video I suggested around 20cm x 20cm as a guide.

When cooked, let the brownie cool down first, put in the fridge and then chop into mini squares

    Good luck :)

    OriginalNakedChef

  • @OriginalNakedChef thats great thanks for the help :)

  • You are 1 funny bloke do you know that?! :D I think you would find it amusing to know that I often watch your vids in bed (as my computer is set up along side it for long hours working at night!) & I have a nice cup of Assam, & laugh uncontrollably at your little moments of alacrity & charismatic cordiality! You surpassed yourself with this one Chef! And 13 Minutes! Good length!

Do you know, I could swear you have an ESSEX accent! Maybe it's just me.

How on earth R U going to top this one ay!

  • @therealKINDLE

Great comm, one for the hall of fame!

Very funny to hear you sitting in bed watching the vids!

The laughing uncontrollably bit, do you think that someone putting something in your tea?

As for the Essex accent, many viewers have said that; I am starting to believe that it could be true! A recent comm said I sounded like Mr Burns from the Simpsons!

Love the comment and hope you have many more uncontrollable moments & look forward to speaking to you again soon.

    OriginalNakedChef

  • Yummy ;-)

  • @mirkemp88

good to hear from you and thanks for the comms :)

    OriginalNakedChef

  • wish i had complete freedom to cook in my kitchen :(

  • @heckler171

Sneak in one day and once they tasted your food, they may put in charge :)

    Thanks for dropping in!

    OriginalNakedChef

  • Is there a way to store it and to keep it gooey at the same time?

  • @rYiOkUn

    Good question.

I think it will start to thicken as it cools even if you don't put it in the fridge. Maybe to make it gooey again you could give it a short blast in the microwave?

I haven't tried that myself but it is what I would try :)

To test it, try a small piece first.

    OriginalNakedChef

  • Looks great mate!

  • @simpleeasycooking

    Nice One!

Good luck with your channel :)

    OriginalNakedChef

  • Can we use any sugar instead of muscavado sugar?

    eg brown sugar

  • @blutey

    Hi blutey,

    Brown sugar is fine!

    Hope you enjoy :)

    Original Naked Chef

  • incredible. looks like a chocolate lava cake. i really need to start baking and i think this recipe will make me stop procrastinating and do it.

if you want to make this uber decadent, try adding chunks of chocolate in the center of the batter so that when you slice it you get a river of molten chocolate.

great work as always and thanks for sharing. irresistable? agreed.

  • @kumquatsta

I couldn’t resist making this one, gooey & firm. There are some similarities to a lava cake as you have pointed out, I should make a molten lava cake as it would look really tempting when you make a cut & it oozes out. Good idea:)

I think you have been delaying baking long enough, grab your apron and bake yourself a cake :)

Thanks for watching and your ideas. Took me a while to answer everyone this time as I had a lot of comments this week.

    Happy Thanksgiving OriginalNakedChef

  • @OriginalNakedChef a lava cake recipe would be awesome. don't worry about the delay, having a lot of comments means you're doing it right. relish the fact that you're being swamped with comments, people like what they see. keep it up.

  • @kumquatsta

    Hi kumquatsta,

Thanks for the reply and I am very happy to receive all the lovely comments. I just like to be able to answer them in a timely manner :)

I have put the lava cake on the list alongside the chicken biryani.

Have a great week and hopefully see you on the next vid!

    OriginalNakedChef

  • I love the goo but chilled in the fridge is what really makes people dig them in my experience from my brownie history. Nothing wrong with warm brownies but chilled, rich goodness is on another level, glad you brough it to people's attention!

  • @Cenotaff

It's good to have the choice of gooey or firm. I do agree, I think for most people will prefer firm from the fridge. I am glad I added that bit on the vid :)

    OriginalnakedChef

  • looks fuckin lovely

  • @Franksy8

    Nice one!

    Hope you enjoy :)

    OriginalNakedChef

  • Chocolate Heaven. Just short of the chocolate as when I buy it, I eat it. I might put some chocolate chips in mine. Thanks again Chef. Take Care. Eggnog!

  • @eggnogonthebog

You need to hold yourself back! Buy the chocolate and put in the cupboard! Out of sight out of mind :)

    Chocolate chips should be ok.

You take care too Original Naked Chef

  • OK. What did I do to offend you? You post this which is clearly designed to kill me! I'm sitting here dribbling over the keyboard.

But what a way to go!

Wish I could get the ingredients, but they don't have round here.

  • @liuzhou

You have cottoned on to my master plan!

But as you say, what a way to go!

    What ingredients cant you find?

If you can’t find Muscavado sugar use a different one, it will still work!

Thanks for dropping in so often :)

    OriginalNakedChef

  • looks smashing !!...do you have a recipe on french choclate cake?

  • @gardini100

Somewhere I do have a recipe. When I get the time, I will try and dig it out and have a go!

    Thanks for dropping in :)

    OriginalNakedChef

  • gas mark fffffffffour! hehe

have been ill the past couple of days but your vid has certainly perked me up a bit mate!

any plans on showing us how to make a nice home made pizza?

  • @matty5900

Yes the gas mark 4 came out a bit slow! When I said 4 I was wondering if it was the correct!

Sorry to hear you have not been too well. Maybe a dose of the flu that’s going around?

I have a home made pizza recipe, have you seen that one?

You can add the toppings of your choice.

    Check it out!

    OriginalNakedChef

  • wow. It's look really good. Thank you for sharing : )

  • @helloporpor

Good to hear from you and you are very welcome :)

Thanks for watching and the comms :)

    OriginalNakedChef

  • looks amazing! thanks so much!!!

  • @kacysparrow

    Nice One!

As always thanks for watching and I hope you enjoy!

    Original Naked Chef :)

  • That looks great, onc. The only time I ever made brownies I burned them. Sort of scared me away from ever making them again.

  • @Barnekkid

Burning the brownies back then is now history!

    Time to have another go.

If you do decide to make them, let me know how it goes :)

    And good luck!

    Original Naked Chef

  • I love this, espeically when you serve it with all the diffrent things, like a bit sour raspberries and an ice cream, you can't go wrong with that mixture of flavours :)) I'll totally make this one in next week.

  • @846524162

The combination was very nice indeed!

The raspberries are a bit expensive though.

    Hope you enjoy it :)

    Original Naked Chef

  • Cool chef as usual.whats this muscovado suger?never heard of it.

  • @250cosmic

    Hi 250cosmic,

Muscovado is a type of unrefined brown sugar with a strong molasses flavour.

Also known as "Barbados sugar" or "moist sugar", Muscovado is very dark brown and slightly coarser and stickier than most brown sugars.

If you can't find Muscavado sugar try using a brown sugar or just use more castor sugar instead. The recipe will still work ok.

    Original Naked Chef :)

  • Yummy Yummy !!!

     I ♥ Chocolate ..

    Surely I'm gonna try this..

Thanks for sharing chef .. :D

  • @89Umaz

It's a great start if you like chocolate.

I hope you enjoy this one :)
