  • i noticed a commenter say she wanted to know the why. i sometimes want to know the why too. i think that's because the what didn't hurt me as much as the why would you do that to me if you love me.

  • Preach it sister!

  • This so so very true aI don't want an apology with a disclaimer just say I'm sorry so we can move on.

  • LOL @ Nobody cares about your explanation. YES! This is excellent for the holidays and the tensions that can come up when we get around family and unresolved issues. Good one!

  • Great video! : )

  • Amen to this video.

  • You are Right!

  • I was just talking to my husband about this one after the topic of Forgiveness came up on Chris Fabry Live. Many made the point that an explanation takes away from an apology, like its an excuse! From my vantage point we are all human and fail, so I don't care so much about the sorry, I mostly want the "why". My husband didn't care for either, he just wants the "how do we prevent this form happening again"? My feeling is that the reason tells me if I am dealing with a "good person" or a fool:)

  • TRUTH!!! Thanks for sharing!

  • "ears hanging off & everything..." Ha, ha!

  • Thank you so much!!!! i need to tell a few ppl im sorry because i can be very blunt at times. :-/

  • @shon4christ :: As am I.

  • I love these videos. keep them coming. I so love the way your channel has developed.

  • @Sofrolushes :: Thank you

  • *have you to say* is what I meant

  • I <3 this topic thank you! wish I could you to say this in so'nes face: sorry!! say sorry !! aaaargh I hate it if they explain why they shot you hmmmm. ROFL on the bleeding and ear hanging all over hahahaha. :o). very informative

  • Thanks for that free therapy!!! Good point about intent versus reasons. People will explain all day to avoid a simple "I'm sorry".....Some people seem to be allergic to apologizing...LOL

  • @vonnababy2 :: YES! Why are you spending 95% of the time explaining and then I get a 5% barely "maybe I may've done something" 1/2 "apology". Please stop.

  • Useful & funny video! Shooting someone was an excellent example for describing the differences.

  • Well said.

  • This video is very helpful. Thanks for the number at the end. I'm not suicidal but I can use someone to talk to. Thanks again.

  • @syberdeeva :: You're welcome.

  • "I'm sorry I had shot you, but this is what you had did, and why I had shot you." LOL. You are so right! Marriage taught me this one. Just say sorry. Justification is not an apology. When an apology is followed with a "but...", it's often a justification.

  • @lanicert :: That is a whole nother video! Marriage will burn the chaff off of you or else you won't survive! If you want to learn how messy you are get married. Help Jesus.

  • girl this just what i needed. sometimes you need to hear the truth in a way that speaks to you personally and you did just that. thank you soo much. ;)

  • I think when it comes to repentance, most people look to justify themselves by finding "perceived" fault in the person they need to apologize to. It makes them feel like less of a shmuck. I also think true repentance IS about handing over the power. You can't say "I was wrong" and mean it unless you're giving up your power to be right. Just like you can't say "I forgive you" and mean it unless you're giving up your power to be justified. Annnnd IMO all sincere apologies come with explanations.

  • @MsGoodthing1 :: Good point about handing over the power in that sense. I meant more like control. Personally I think people could do much better w/o the explanations, especially UPFRONT. If they keep that in mind, then they'll be less apt to just start out explaining, and more apt to apologize, then explain if asked.

  • I loved this...extreeeeeemly useful information. looking forwrd to more in this series.

  • Great info. :)

  • Thanks ini for this vid. And extra thanks for the info 2 the end. I was informed by a family member that another family member has been in the bed for 3 days. This happens on a regular basis. Thanks

  • @naturallycurious42 :: You welcome.
