These particular cars are for highway patrol and I'm guessing that they wouldn't be able to do the same quality job with Astras. As for the income. An average Estonian police-officer probably earns twice as much as its Lithuanian counterpart, although I'm not quite sure about LT police wages. An average salary for a police-officer in 2008 was 1125euros here, which isn't that bad for the Baltics.

Ohh yeah. If average is 1125Euros in Police Patrol core, then yeah. It is VERY high compared to Lithuanian average patrol guard salary. But, there is, as i call, a average salary scam going on here, when super high high ranking officers salaries differ from lower class patrol policemen salary not in percent but in TIMES higher. In average doesnt look that bad. Still, for highways, expensive BMWs not needed in my opinion. 1 BMW = 2 corrolas, wich go as fast and alot easier to cath criminals.

But look,here's different:Lithuanian police uses their Audi's everyday,as patrol cars,but these BMW's are only for special events,let's say for escorting some higher class people(some other country's president for example)And by-the-way,Estonian police has only 7 BMW's,not more.

Don't worry,we have Corollas,Ford Mondeos,Nissan Primeras,opel Vectras/Astras for everyday use.:D
