I tried some adhd medicine once to see what it's effect would be on me. They're amphetamine derivatives as most know. I know how regular amphetamine makes me feel and the after effects can cause me to feel a bit paranoid and very uneasy, sort of irritably stimulated and psychically dirty. From this medicine for adhd I had these effects from the beginning, no euphoria like with regular amphetamines and they were about twice as strong.

ADHD? here's a thought do a home evelution first . How about putting the kids to bed at 8pm. How about making sure they have good foods instead of sugar and caffine. Lazy welfare mom's doping there kids on our tax dollars.

So thankful my parents refused to put me on Ritalin like the other 45% of my class. Saw a doc for 5 mins as a 3rd grader, diagnosed me with ADD, oppositional defiant d/o and depression and called for immediate Ritalin treatment. THANKS mom and dad for just saying NO

Able to answer the simple question much? I can tell you a typical ADHD case. A kid who can't pay attention, because its not in a child's nature to sit in a classroom all day. That mixed with a short attention span, which gets in the way and becomes a problem.

Solution? Not drugs. Drugs actually make people worse, I know because I've had friends with the diagnosis.

The school threatened my child. His teacher suggested he was adhd. They had a school psychologist there with all her check list bull crap. I told them actually what I thought about all the drugging of children. I said if he's that bad then I'll home school him. The school had a therapist social worker see him instead. He never took any drugs. He grew out of his little spell that his teacher thought worthy of a mental diagnosis.

If there's a problem in the brain, then of course the blood won't show that. But abnormalities in the brain should be found, which is not the case of all (I'd even say the majority, but not sure) mental disorders. So many mental disorders are based only on the symptoms which the patient tells he has.. Does that really sound scientific to you?
