As the riders (3 in total) passed towns the church bells were ringing. Bell got people to the church to hear the news. Warnings shots were fired in distance. When Revere was captured he told the Redcoats 500 militia had moblized 1500 more were coming. The marching to take a powder mill, an arsenal arrest Adams & Handcock.

The whole reason the British were massing in that area was because they had heard there were arms cached there. The colonials had come out to keep the British from grabbing the weapons. Revere's warning to the countryside caused gunshots and warning bells to be issued. After capture, he also warned the British that they should expect armed resistance - no one wanted bloodshed if it could be avoided.
Well, the difference between a history professor and a Scientist (why is it capitalized? I don't know. Neither do you.) is that a history professor deals with the relationships between persons, while an empirical scientist deals with the relationships between objects.

She was right about the fact that the Concord Expedition of April 18, 1775 was about the seizure of stockpiled weapons and ammunition. Revere sure as hell didn't warn the British troops about their own expedition, but, then again, we were British in 1775, too, and while Revere didn't personally ring any bells, some town churches and meetinghouses might have done so after their militias were alarmed. So, technically, while she clearly had no clue, she guessed pretty damned close to accurately.

As the riders (3 in total) passed towns the church bells were ringing. Bell got people to the church to hear the news. Warnings shots were fired in distance. The whole reason the British were massing in that area was because they had heard there were arms cached there. The colonials had come out to keep the British from grabbing the weapons. Revere's warning to the countryside caused gunshots and warning bells to be issued. After capture, he also warned the British that they should expect armed resistance - no one wanted bloodshed if it could be avoided.
Palin is right.

She was right about the fact that the Concord Expedition of April 18, 1775 was about the seizure of stockpiled weapons and ammunition. Revere sure as hell didn't warn the British troops about their own expedition, but, then again, we were British in 1775, too, and while Revere didn't personally ring any bells, some town churches and meetinghouses might have done so after their militias were alarmed. So, technically, while she clearly had no clue, she guessed pretty damned close to accurately.

The 2nd Amendment is directly related to our ability to arm ourselves in the event our government loses its shit and starts going all stupid on everyone. It was in reference to the fact that we'd already done it in 1775, and reserved that right.
