This program is really cool, I would love to play around with it even though I wouldn't make a gear. You should make a video on how you made the program.( if you haven't already, I didn't check)

This is an extremely impressive program. Are you using a physics engine to simulate this? I'm working on a similar program to generate tank tracks.
I'd be very interested in the algorithm you used to generate these chains.

No physics engine. Just an awful lot of trigonometry.

Doesn't look like physics. It's "just" geometry (as long as you neglect gravity, friction, material strength, aso.). I did some of these gear calculations/construction at university myself. Except for the fact that it's very tedious, it can be done with a calculator.
