  • White trash commenter alert!

  • @sexypoetry Well it isn't because Simon Cowell came along and gave him a $1million record contract is it. Read what the critics say.

  • In this solo Keith isn't using the pedal. Curious.

  • Keith is one of my favorite artists. He is a master at soothing my pain with those wonderful piano tones.

  • I have the whole thing on DVD (taken from a VHS tape). Some nice stuff - plus the encore based on the same vamp from 'Solo Concerts'.

  • I still can't buy this from anywhere. Anyone got a clue? I've checked eBay etc. Nothing. And I've already got the Bx set with lots of the trio and solo stuff in it. It's just the whole of this gig i wanna get. it's fantastic. I really enjoyed this period of Jarrett. Very lyrical.

    Thanks.

    Dave

  • germaniwan just shut up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • the best

  • mieux, interressant.

  • Thanks for uploading this video.

Great playing from Keith Jarrett, as usual.

  • the best

  • he makes it up as he goes along

    amazing

  • ~legend!~

  • Incredible piece, all improvised. I've been just today my version, played by hear. Soon here on youtube.

  • I own Keith Jarret´s Vermont solo on Laser Disc Format which no longer exists,I bought it 12 years ago. Unfortunately this concert is not available on both dvd and cd. Nor has it been transcribed to sheet paper.I beleive it can be recorded from laser disc to cd-rom. If this is a fact, I could send you a copy free of charge.

  • Does anyone know the name of this piece? or is it all improvised??

  • It's all improvised; almost all of his solo work is made up on the spot. Amazing, huh?

  • @sexypoetry you're lame

  • Your listening to part one from Keith Jarret´s Vermont Solo consisting of three parts. To be more explicit, the concert consists of two parts (part one and two),in between there is a monologue by Keith Jarrett with background music of "My Song".

  • I might be mistaken, but this concert was at the end of a weeklong workshop he did and this was a goodbye concert.

  • your absolutely right.

  • gracias por compartir la magia de Keith. Extraordinario músico, con cientos de dedos... invisibles.

  • so great...

    L.

  • jarrett is a phenomenon....wot i would give to see him playing the koln concert lol

  • totally agreed...too bad i wasnt even born then...but at least i got the CD haha...trying to learn an excerpt of it...rhythm is sooo complicated!

  • Oh please, post it!!! Even if it isn't absolutely perfect it won't be worse, just different. Would love to see & hear someone playing like Keith Jarrett!

  • This is beyond genius.

  • Does anyone know where you can get this complete??

  • get the dvd!

  • Yes, but from where? i can't seem to find it listed on places like amazon etc...

  • there are lots of them on ebay. they usually ship from hongkong or korea, but its not too expensive and theyre awesome;)

  • gr8. will check that out!

    thx for the tip off.

    D.

  • But not the same quality. Because the idea is to transcribe from the original tapes to dvd. What e-bay does is to copy from the laser disc to a dvd. This is what occured with allan holdsworth tokyo dream which is dicontinued and only available on laser disc.

  • hey pabo grazie mile de milione

  • the best ever

  • Genius !!!!!!!!!
