amazing shot at 5:49 i don't know how he got so much action on the cue ball - from the overhead view, it doesn't look like he puts any side on the ball
Firstly, he had to unwrap very tricky positional shots and it is quite reasonable to take your time to do exactly what you intend
Secondly, playing slow game (within the framework of rules not violating the unsportsmanship conduct) is a tactical move as well as many other tiny psychological (though allowed) distractions or I should say moves.
@Valdinsh Yeah,I do understand what you said as well as I've watched a lot yang's videos, I mean generally, except it is a live show, the director should cut some unneeded senses, so that, we - the viewers can keep focusing and enjoying on the match, there's no point for waiting 5 minutes in order to see players taking that their shot, that why in almost tournaments, recently, time for taking a shot was limited < 1 min probably, which is good, for me :))
Agreed. For entertainment purposes the recorded videos could be cropped.
Shot clock ain't bad at all though it's not that popular. Be that as it may billiard is a sport and in serious competitions (I would say) players ought to granted all the rights to take as much time as necessary to carry out their best shot without no fear of ticking time bomb in the background.
p.s. - as for me (I favor a steady and thoughtful game in general) I do like the shot clock system =D
