One of my first memories as a kid growing up in Signal Hill,Ca.

The Beatles on Ed Sullivan Feb-1964. Nobody really knew what

they were. We all tuned in, even our parents. We wanted to know

who sang "I Want to Hold Your Hand"..Their sound penetrated.

My parents would not admit it then (stuck on the 40's, which is good stuff)

but what was this NEW sound?

I have yet figured out why The Beatles were so addicting.

The sound? The look? The energy?

I was a teenager when this was going on. It was great . For all you folks that wish you'd been alive then , it was fun , but by now you would be like me- arthritis, knee replacement, more than one marriage......eyesight going down the drain. Hopefully, you will be able to go back to this when ever you want to.
