As a historian, I feel it is my job to point to the fact that some of you must have never read any of F. Coughlin's other speeches. Coughlin was not always in support of the Nazi party, but following his fighting with FDR, he turned extreme. Coughlin may not have been a card carrying member but did acknowledge Hitler as the "savior of peace and civilization". He continued to state that Hitler was "to be admired". So, I would suggest that some of you take a deeper look at his statements.

Many scholars have shown "leftist" elements to populisn, including National Socialism, and a traditional Christian myself, I find you ignorant and vulgar. You discredit your religion and as far as I am concerned are unworthy to be a supporter of Father Coughlin. Grow up.

Father Coughlin was a populist with leanings more to the left than the right. Social justice for the working class was his main issue,. not the Jews as you misleadingly imply. He did emphasize the Jewish involvement in the Bolshevik revolution, but can this be denied? Coughlin was one of the greatest orators in American history and was loved by the American people. Most orators back then waved their hands around - not a Nazi salute! As a good Christian he was strongly opposed to Nazism.

father coughlin was a nazi sympathizer and at times a raging anti-semite. This is him at his most eloquant and loquacious....however there are many speeches he made that are far more vile , hatefilled, ignorant, and downright repugnant.

You should be more careful with your allegations. I know his writings and speeches and have found not trace whatsoever of "nazi sympathies". He condemned Hitlerism while terming it an irrational defense mechanism stemming from the injustice of the Versailles treaty and the threat of Bolshevism. I'd say he was on the mark here. But emphasizing the tens of millions of Christians who were killed by the communists in Russia probably is enough to make him a "nazi sympathizer" in your book, right?

It was tragic that those individuals died. Most of them were considered "impure" Jews. Those of the 13th tribe of Israel... Hitler assisted many Jews in escaping Germany before that time. Hitler was also financed by the Rockefeller's (U.S. Standard Oil). It was all about making money and allowing the deranged Hitler to exterminate mostly Jews who weren't considered to be that important. Rockefeller's/Hitler's spiritual views? Worship of the Canaanite God, Moloch.

Know why you always hear of Charles Lindberg the flier and not Lindberg Senior his father. As a historian, I feel it is my job to point to the fact that some of you must have never read any of F. Coughlin's other speeches. Coughlin was not always in support of the Nazi party, but following his fighting with FDR, he turned extreme. Coughlin may not have been a card carrying member but did acknowledge Hitler as the "savior of peace and civilization". He continued to state that Hitler was "to be admired". So, I would suggest that some of you take a deeper look at his statements.
