  • loved you videos, just watched your fathers gun video 20 times!!!! I was wondering if you knew about the 79th U.S. Colored Infantry, who fought at Island Mounds, Missouri, on October 28, 1862. They were the first black troops used in the war. HH

  • Great video & song to boot! I had the opportunity to visit the African American Civil War Museum & Memorial today. It's reopening was July 18th, the anniversary of the Battle of Battery Wagner. It of course, was appropriately timed for this. Mr. Frank Smith is it's curator & a man of outstanding knowledge on the war & esp the U.S. Colored Troops. The museum is small but it is rich in it's educational value & will continue to grow in size soon. In any event, I esp enjoyed your vid re; Folly Beach
