The theme itself was a US no 1 for Henry Mancini under the title Love Theme from Romeo and Juliet. That tune was used by British DJ Simon Bates for a gut wrenching section on his radio show called Our Tune. Usually listeners wrote in about someone who had died.

I have never heard of this song before.
